Chapter 169 - Elemental Onslaught Of The Black Dragon

With enemy markers and a sense of justice both in place, Belial let out a roar in midair. The Magic Circle spreading around him formed more than a dozen compressed elemental fusion fireballs. This spell, which he had simply named Fireball, had been continuously modified from the cave days to his encounters with Lilith.

It had become a spell that encompassed all elements and focused on high-heat explosions as the core killing power under the Lord. Its structure was terrifyingly complete.

"These Magic are connected to Draconic Magic. This is too frightening."

Sylvia caught a glimpse of the spell structure. It was unmistakably a Dragonkin-exclusive Magic framework, and just like every result she had researched before, there was no record of it in the Dragon Soul. She sat on his palm and watched as more than ten blazing white suns fell through the clouds and smashed into the ground.

"Boom…"

The combined explosion echoed even at high altitude. Chaotic elemental and Magic fluctuations spread outward. Massive heat and steam, mixed with mottled smoke, surged straight into the sky.

Curious, Sylvia descended to take a look. What she saw was a black plain like the surface of the moon, completely scorched and heavily crystallized with Crystal. There was no trace left of the city or the more than two hundred thousand Demonkind troops.

All of this had been caused by a single spell.

Sylvia wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and followed Belial as they continued flying deeper into Demonkind territory. Soon, she noticed that Belial's flight felt different from before. The change made her pause.

"What is this? Such a strong Law of Ice!"

She caught a snowflake out of curiosity. The chill in her palm startled her, as the cold pierced straight through her defenses and even froze a portion of her Magic. When she looked at the surrounding clouds, she realized they had changed as well.

The storms and clouds that once wrapped around them had only been used by Belial to hide his form. Under his control, they never caused a disaster like a super typhoon. Now it was different.

This storm monster had been forcibly unleashed, stripped of its restraints and given fangs. Black mist spread from Belial into the clouds, turning the outer layers pitch-black like heavy thunderclouds and rapidly expanding. The winds that had been tightly bound were released and surged outward, giving birth to an unprecedented massive typhoon centered on Belial.

It was not just rain and lightning. It was a fusion of raging wind, fire, ice, and every disaster that could appear in the sky. Lightning turned into deadly plasma, and even ordinary air was heated by temperature and current into something lethal, where a single breath could cook a person from the inside.

Sylvia saw all of this clearly. The more she watched, the more alarmed she became, her cold sweat impossible to wipe away. She did not dare imagine what this dragon intended to do next.

"And our altitude is dropping?"

Realizing this, Sylvia began to understand his plan.

"The best way to protect our teammates is not just pulling them back and keeping them safe."

"There is another option. Kill every threat."

Belial adjusted the Magic of the surrounding clouds until a single pass would be enough to crush the lesser enemies. Then he began to descend. Everyone in this region was either an enemy subordinate, a follower, or a collaborator, and every one of them was rotten to the core.

So there was nothing to hesitate about. Activate the super weapon and clear the map.

Of course, Belial was not completely merciless. He deliberately left a narrow path of survival within his cloud Magic, created by the portion of black mist he had spread out. Anyone not tainted by enemy power or burdened by vengeful souls could survive.

He felt he had already lowered the standard enough. After settling this, he beat his wings harder, and the two engines behind him erupted with even louder roars and white light.

"You had better pray I can pull our teammates back before I wipe you all out."

"Otherwise, I will not hold back."

A black giant beast formed from storm and lightning was born in the sky. It stretched its body and roared, growing wings that reached toward the endless horizon. Then it began to advance slowly but relentlessly.

"…"

"…"

"You are saying the Third Division has lost contact?"

"Hmph, I do not care about that. Someone probably wants to pull a rebellion again. It does not matter."

Parak was unconcerned after hearing the report. It was normal for some Demonkind commanders or factions to get ideas at a time like this. Even cutting off contact on purpose was not impossible, because such things were extremely common among Demonkind.

This was simply how Demonkind were. Betrayal, insubordination, and backstabbing were everyday occurrences.

"Let them make trouble on their own. Now gather forces and head to the eastern region. Yes, the area where a young Black Dragon has been seen. We should secure the dragon first."

Parak had received intelligence days ago about a young Black Dragon appearing in the eastern part of his territory. Even if it was only a young Dragonkin and might not be ideal, it was still worth capturing.

"Also, send me another batch of those devices that detect Dragonkin bloodlines. Set a tight net and do not let them escape."

He had also heard that there was a blonde human with that young Black Dragon. Parak frowned slightly, finding it strange. A human and a dragon together did not make sense to him.

"Run… run now!" "What is it this time, lightning or mountains?" A group of ragged Demonkind fled like refugees inside a mass of dark clouds and smoke. Above them, the sky twisted into a huge black vortex, and Lightning Magic fell again and again like a demon's cruel laughter.

They fought against slicing winds that felt like blades, freezing snow that drained their strength, and scalding steam. Ever since their unit was wiped out, they had been running for who knew how long. Judging by their faces and the Magic fluctuations around them, none of them were weak, and some were even at Gold Rank.

What had happened to gather so many elite Demonkind here, only to leave them fleeing in such misery? No, they had not gathered on purpose. Anyone not strong enough had already died in the endless disasters moments ago.

"The ground is moving… jump now, do not touch it!" The leading Gold Rank felt a tremor and shouted with all his strength. Even someone as strong as Gold was in terrible shape, his body marked with blockbuster burns and patches of frozen, dead flesh.

His body was covered in countless cuts like knife wounds, turning him into a walking mass of blood, and he had even lost an arm, the stump charred black. Just as he warned, the ground split open like a monster opening its jaws with Rend. Dozens of Demonkind fell into a Rift, which snapped shut again.

That was not the end. The sealed Rift bulged upward and formed a literal Mountain of Blades and Sea of Fire, jagged rocks edged like blades and wrapped in fire, rising like a giant sword and chopping straight toward the Demonkind.

"Ugh… aaah!" "Who are you… I will fight you to the end!" Like a snapped string, he released all his remaining Battle Aura at once. Blood sprayed from his wounds as the surge crushed the ground within a hundred meters into spiderwebs of Rift, then blasted it into dust.

A tightly condensed Battle Aura slash over a hundred meters long tore forward. The earth was split open, and those rock blades harder than steel were smashed into Shard and cut off at the root, the destruction spreading hundreds, then thousands of meters.

And then it ended. Wave after wave of rock blades rolled in and easily skewered the powerless Demonkind like candied fruit, roasting them into charcoal from the inside out. His soul was pulled by a black force that should not exist, restrained, pressed down, and dragged into the dark vortex in the sky.

"The last group is done. Good, there should still be a few hundred thousand over there. Let us take a look." After finishing the final stubborn ants, Belial nodded in satisfaction. He swallowed the rising souls, including that trace of improper power, and spat out pure points of light.

Sylvia flew back up from below. She confirmed that all the Demonkind down there were dead, and even scenes like natural disasters no longer changed her expression. She had simply seen too much lately.

These days, following this Black Dragon, Sylvia had witnessed the deaths of tens of millions of Demonkind. To her, it felt like nothing, since every one of that race deserved death. If the Lord could see this, it would be clear why she had grown numb.

She once thought this dragon was just a Black Dragon who used some strange Magic. Then he unleashed Freezing Breath stronger than a White Dragon, played with elements as if they were toys, each clearly beyond the level of Laws. After that came the slaughter of Demonkind, a word that felt like the most efficient description she could find.
