Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

Weapons such as sabers, spears, swords, and halberds were constantly evolving, and when they did, they transformed into divine weapons, capable of easily cutting through metal. Even the extraordinary fishing rod imbued with the System's Power couldn't withstand this force.

"Tsk, tsk," Robert thought to himself, pleased with his accomplishments. "Impressive, impressive."

"No, I should say that I'm impressive. Only with sufficient willpower can I unleash such powerful might."

With that thought, Robert decided to try something else. Using only traditional weapons seemed almost disrespectful to the Green Lantern Ring.

A burst of green light filled his hand, transforming it into an AK-47 assault rifle. Robert pulled the trigger, and green bullets rapidly fired from the barrel. The green bullets hit a distant hill.

Bang!

The small hill, over a hundred meters high, was instantly blown away by half.

"Holy crap, is that a gun? It's more terrifying than a missile!"

"As expected of the Green Lantern Ring, relying on willpower and imagination to unleash combat power."

"The System is amazing."

Robert was excited. Guns, while useless against the strong, were still cool! It was the same as mechs—they weren't particularly useful in a real fight, but they were just so awesome! Robert decided that transforming into guns would be a regular addition to his transformation list.

After all, the power of this weapon was linked to his willpower, and with his willpower, he was still incredibly strong! That's just how willful he was!

"Now, let's try something else," Robert thought to himself, his eyes gleaming.

The Green Lantern Ring wasn't just a simple tool; it was almost limitless. As long as he could imagine it, the Green Lantern Ring could manifest it.

He had always wanted to test one ability in particular: flight. Humans had long yearned to soar through the skies. Aircraft were the ultimate manifestation of that desire. Even Superman had the ability to fly, but unfortunately, Robert hadn't unlocked it yet.

However, unexpectedly, with the Green Lantern Ring in his possession, Robert could now give flight a try. Flying wasn't just stylish and fun; it was incredibly useful in combat. If he faced someone who couldn't fly, he could easily toy with them until they were defeated.

Robert focused, and the green ring around his finger expanded, enveloping his entire body. A strange sensation filled him as he felt a mysterious force pushing him upwards.

Whoosh!

In an instant, Robert shot into the sky, stopping only after reaching several dozen meters in height. Looking down at the shrinking ground, he felt a bit dizzy at first.

After taking a moment to adjust, Robert felt more comfortable and began to circle and soar in the air. He looped in the sky, drawing a perfect S shape one moment and a B the next, enjoying the sensation immensely. No one could resist such a temptation.

He flew for a full ten minutes, but he still wasn't satisfied.

"Time to test the speed," he muttered to himself. "I wonder how fast I can go."

With determination in his eyes, Robert soared higher into the sky, reaching 100 meters.

Bang!

A sonic boom erupted as Robert accelerated, leaving a trail of white behind him. His speed was so fast that it caused slight disruptions in the air around him.

He continued to fly for tens of thousands of meters before coming to a stop.

"That was fast," Robert said to himself, impressed. "Breaking the sound barrier... that's much faster than ordinary airplanes. I wonder how it compares to fighter jets."

He didn't measure the exact speed, but being able to break the sound barrier was enough for him at the moment.

"The Green Lantern Ring is truly a jack-of-all-trades, with endless possibilities."

"It's like magic."

Robert marveled at the ring's versatility. Compared to Superman's raw physical power, the Green Lantern Ring had many more abilities, making it incredibly flexible.

"Alright, let's put the Green Lantern Ring aside for now and try activating Superman's abilities."

Superman himself could also fly, and his speed far surpassed that of the Green Lantern Ring. Robert wasn't sure he was ready for that power, but he was eager to try.

Superman's flying ability was frightening. Even at his weakest stage, his speed could reach Mach 10, ten times the speed of sound. That was far faster than any fighter jet.

Robert gritted his teeth and released the Green Lantern Ring's power. His body quickly began to lose form, and he fell toward the ground like a cannonball, feeling the wind rushing past him.

As he plummeted, Robert felt a strange sensation stir in his body—a magnetic field. It wasn't a power that was entirely his own, but rather the Earth's magnetic field, along with those of various celestial bodies. It was a strange yet fascinating force.

And then, suddenly, it happened. The magnetic force around his body counteracted Earth's gravity.

With a jolt, Robert stopped mid-air, his powerful body not feeling any impact from the sudden change in velocity.

"I actually learned how to fly so easily," Robert muttered in amazement.

"Superman is truly a freak of nature."

Flying now felt as natural as breathing, even more so than with the Green Lantern Ring. It felt free, instinctive, as though he was cradled in the embrace of the Earth itself.

"I have to admit, Superman is a force to be reckoned with," Robert thought. "This is amazing!"

With that, Robert shot into the sky once again, leaving a white trail in his wake. He soon found himself back at his fishing spot.

"Wow, this is one time faster than the Green Lantern! As expected of Superman's abilities," he said, clearly impressed.

His exhilaration was interrupted by a sudden voice.

"Are you really sure you didn't see wrong? That was a person in the sky?"

Scott, the kind-hearted and responsible leader of the X-Men, turned to his girlfriend, Jean.

"I have telepathic abilities. There's no way I could have been mistaken," Jean replied, rolling her eyes. "But the speed of that thing just now reached an insane Mach 5!"

Scott blinked, incredulously. "Mach 5? The fastest fighter jets on Earth don't even come close to that! The X-Men's own jets can barely reach Mach 3!"

"Are you saying that was a person?" Scott asked, astonished. "Faster than a fighter jet?"

"That wasn't just any person," Jean said, her voice serious. "You know him."

Scott furrowed his brows, trying to make sense of it. "You're saying that was Robert?"
