Abdullah smiled as he saw his family standing before him, frozen in shock, yet tears of joy streamed from their eyes.
Smiling playfully, he said:
— "Did you see a ghost? Your beloved son has returned, alhamdulillah."
A young boy ran toward him at full speed, jumping into his brother's arms.
— "Did you miss me, brother? I missed you so much! Don't scare me like that again. I'm still a kid, and I still want to take your money and annoy you!"
Abdullah laughed as he hugged him tightly.
— "Of course, I missed you. Oh? You're still a kid? Didn't you tell me you've grown up and don't want me to treat you like a child anymore?"
His younger brother replied with mock anger:
— "No, I'm a child — and a child loved by Allah. So thank Allah you're still alive, and thank Him you have a brother like me."
Abdullah smiled.
— "Alhamdulillah."
At that moment, their mother watched her son talking to his little brother. She stepped forward slowly, afraid it was just a dream that might end at any moment. When she finally reached him, she pulled him into a sudden embrace and cried silently, trying to calm herself, but her body wouldn't stop trembling.
— "Alhamdulillah for your safety, my son. You've been gone for so long. When you leave the hospital, I'll make you the best meals, and you'll stay at home — no moving around."
Abdullah quickly replied, trying to free himself from her arms:
— "Mama, I'm fine, don't worry…"
But she was stronger than him, and from her look, he knew there was no escape.
The little boy chimed in:
— "Really? You'll make the best meals? Then will you make macaroni with béchamel?"
She nodded with a smile, grateful to Allah for this moment.
The father, meanwhile, simply stood there, looking at his son with quiet pride — as if wanting to say, "It must have been hard on you" — but he stayed silent. Then he left to inform the doctor, unable to face his son just yet.
Doctors rushed into the room, checking on Abdullah with clear relief that he was still alive. After completing their examinations, they asked the family to step out for a moment, but the father remained inside, and from the way they looked at him, it was as if they knew this boy's father was no ordinary man.
The mother eventually took the younger brother out — though he resisted — and he reluctantly left, glancing back every few steps to make sure his brother was still there.
Now only Abdullah, his father, and the doctors were in the room. A tense silence hung in the air before the senior doctor spoke:
— "Abdullah, can you tell me… do you remember what happened to you? Or anything while you were in a deep sleep?"
Abdullah looked puzzled and answered calmly:
— "I was on the bus, and suddenly I felt like my heart was going to stop. I thought I was going to die. The system told me to call an ambulance and go to the hospital, so I did… I don't remember anything after that."
Then he looked at the doctor:
— "Is there something wrong with me, Doctor?"
The doctor answered quickly:
— "No, you're fine. Your health is good. In fact, you've advanced to Level 2 and are now qualified to join the Sinai Global Academy. But… are you sure you don't remember anything?"
Abdullah replied steadily, without revealing any doubt:
— "No, I don't remember anything."
— "Then why these strange questions? Did something happen?"
The doctor sighed.
— "It seems, Abdullah, that you are the heir of an ancient Egyptian god — though we don't yet know which one. I had hoped you might know. But never mind… rest for now. We'll seek assistance to run more tests, because you've become important to all of us."
The doctors left without suspecting anything. Abdullah's father looked at him, realizing his son was pretending — but chose not to say anything, knowing silence was better for now. He left to speak with the doctor, then went to join his wife and younger son to wait for the next visiting time.
Abdullah was finally alone in the room. He sighed to himself:
— "I expected you knew something, Father… and I think you know a lot more. But that doesn't matter now. The important thing is to become stronger — to protect my family, and Egypt. It's boring… but it's reality."
Suddenly, a strange yet oddly familiar voice spoke. It wasn't the voice of a man or a woman, but something ancient and rough.
[Your way of thinking is strange, child…]
Abdullah glanced around, then calmed himself and whispered:
— "Who are you?"
He tried to summon the system to scan the surroundings using the Chinese Scan mode, but the voice returned:
[Relax. I won't harm you. I've become your system now.]
Abdullah frowned:
— "My system? This isn't my system's voice. The system doesn't talk on its own unless there's something serious — or I ask it something."
The voice chuckled mockingly:
[Oh, that's true… How do I explain this? Let's say I'm the better version of your system — but not just any update. I'm a system created by Lord Thoth himself.]
Abdullah's curiosity sharpened.
— "Do Set know about you?"
[Of course. It's impossible for me to merge with you without his help.]
— "Then who exactly are you? And since you're now part of me, I assume you'll help me. What's your function?"
[Sorry to disappoint you, but I have no overpowered abilities. I'm just your guide, nothing more.]
Abdullah lost interest.
— "So you won't give me tasks like doing ten push-ups to earn points and level up quickly? What's the difference between you and my old system then?"
The voice sounded slightly offended, but replied:
[That's right, I won't. The difference is that I have the vast knowledge library of Lord Thoth, while your old system only had human knowledge.]
— "Oh, well, that's good. That means you can read my stats easily without messing them up like the old system sometimes did. So… what's your name?"
[I am the Pyramid Spirit System of this world.]
Abdullah froze.
— "The Pyramid Spirit of this world? Does that mean there are other main characters besides me — in other worlds?"
The system was surprised:
[You really are smart. But that's not important for you now, since you're still weak. As for other protagonists… yes, the author has several other stories coming soon. But don't bother — it's too much for your current level.]
Abdullah smirked:
— "Fine. I'll just enjoy my life… in my own story. Show me my status."
Next stop: Abdullah's Stats and Talents.
