Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: The Gathering of the Ancient Egyptian Gods

In a floating temple in the sky, clouds drift quietly around it.

Inside the temple, adorned with the magnificent art and architecture of ancient Egypt, four powerful and renowned gods are seated.

All of them have gathered to support the god Set and his heir—something that may seem strange to outsiders.

Each of these gods holds influence and is known to protect humankind, so why would they help Set, the so-called "God of Evil"?

But in ancient Egypt, not everything associated with darkness or labeled as evil was truly so.

Not everything that opposes light must be destroyed.

Thoth smiles as he looks at the other three gods, enjoying the moment because he knows none of them would refuse the chance to help their friend, Set.

Then he speaks:

— "What do you think of the first cosmic war that Ra desires? Should we fight... and then disappear, beginning the plan that Ra himself devised?"

One of the goddesses responds in a calm tone:

— "What else can we do? We will obey. You know Ra is like a father to us. He is our source of power.

And when he merged with the winds and became stronger by fusing with other forces, his name became Amun-Ra.

Do you really think you can reject his orders, Thoth?"

Thoth smiles:

— "That's not what I meant, and you know it. What I mean is… in the plan, what role will each of you play?

When we read the patterns of the future, we saw that Set—who vanished with Apophis without a trace—would have an heir.

But his chances of survival are extremely low. Don't you feel any desire to help him and his heir?"

He then looks toward one of the gods who appeared furious and quick-tempered, as if she had a deep connection to Set.

The third god, who had been silent since the meeting began, quietly observing, finally speaks:

— "Well, since it's Set, I'll help him."

A look of subtle interest and hidden intent glimmers in his eyes. He adds with a smile:

— "When I heard Set would have an heir, I was shocked. We all know he is infertile, cursed, and can never have children.

His wife betrayed him with his brother Osiris to have a child. So how…?

What exactly did Set do to have an heir?"

The others fall silent, as if thinking about the question—but none dares speak it aloud.

The quick-tempered goddess explodes:

— "Watch it! Have you forgotten that any matter concerning the gods is sacred? You could be killed just for asking a question that isn't yours to ask.

What you just said is one of Set's deepest secrets. Do you want him to kill you? Or would you prefer I do it right now before he returns?"

A fiery aura of anger blazes around her as she glares at the fourth god with eyes full of rage and battle-lust.

He returns the glare and unleashes his own aura—tension rising, ready to erupt into combat.

But Thoth steps in swiftly:

— "Enough! Did you gather here to fight, or to help Set? You know time is short—don't waste it."

The two gods calm down, but the tension and hostility remain in their eyes.

The calm goddess speaks:

— "So, what do you want us to do, Thoth?"

— "Each of you will help the heir in your own way. I've already begun.

What about you?"

The furious goddess replies:

— "I've already given him my help, so it doesn't matter."

But in her eyes, a hidden sadness and longing flickers.

The other goddess adds:

— "Me too. But I'll offer him something more."

Then all eyes turn to the final god as he speaks:

— "I'll help him too… but I want something from you, Thoth. Tell me—where is Set's staff?"

A strange mixture of greed and curiosity appears in his gaze.

A heavy silence falls across the temple.

The other three gods exchange tense looks, as if ready to attack him in less than a second.

— "Relax, I just want to enhance Set's staff. You know who I am. That would be a powerful advantage for the heir… Don't worry."

They settle down, though the tension still hangs thick in the air.

Thoth notices and says:

— "Since everyone agrees, good. This meeting is over. Each of you, go and prepare for war."

As the gods begin to leave, Thoth speaks again in a deep voice:

— "And don't forget the reason..."

He falls silent, but they all stare at him seriously, realizing Thoth is still as cunning and layered as ever.

This meeting had not been as simple as it seemed.

Thoth smiles, a hidden intention behind his calm demeanor—one beyond merely helping Set and his heir.

Back to the present…

Set hears what was said in the meeting, and recalls the past—specifically, a moment he shared with a goddess who resembled the quick-tempered one.

He chuckles bitterly:

— "Thoth already chose who will help me? That sly bastard… always mysterious, always knowing more than he lets on.

I knew the Egyptian gods had plans for my heir. Did they forget who I was when I vanished?"

The dark place he resides in begins to stir, and his aura flares violently.

The Pyramid Spirit System speaks:

— "[Calm down, Lord Set. I know you're upset, but this is for your heir's own good.]"

Set calms himself and smiles:

— "So my heir has five helpers… and I've left him even more.

Is his fate sealed now? It doesn't matter. This is his life. I will not interfere."

He then looks at Abdullah and asks the system:

— "What is your other purpose?"

The pyramid spirit is stunned and doesn't know how to answer, because Thoth bound it by contract to keep certain truths hidden until the right time.

Set, noticing the spirit's subtle expression—even if it tries to mask it—says:

— "I knew it... Thoth never does anything without secret plans behind it."

Then he adds:

— "And since we can't act now, so be it."

He looks at Abdullah again and says firmly:

— "The decisive moment has come. If he survives, he will succeed. And if he dies… alhamdulillah."

Abdullah is in intense pain, unconscious and unaware of his surroundings.

He feels his heart and body changing in unbearably painful ways.

Meanwhile, in the real world—in the hospital—his condition rapidly worsens.

The doctors try everything to save him.

But as his heartbeat grows faster and more violent, it suddenly stops…

As if his heart muscles have seized up from sheer exhaustion.
