The Dragon Balls on Namek were over twenty times the size of Earth's. While Earth's Dragon Balls fit in one hand, Namek's required a full embrace to lift. They were substantially heavier, sitting like boulders in the arms.
"These are the Dragon Balls of Namek. Since you are familiar with Earth's, you know how to use them, correct? I leave it to you to collect them and restore the land to its original state."
Grand Elder Guru spoke slowly. After Naruto nodded, he continued, "I do not know how to thank you. If you have wishes, you may ask the Dragon Balls to grant them."
"Our Namekian Porunga differs from yours. It grants a total of three wishes."
Guru added a final instruction. "But the Dragon Balls are not all-powerful. Their abilities cannot exceed those of their creator, me. Do not rely too heavily on their power, and do not misuse them."
"Relying on yourself is the only correct path."
In truth, Guru could offer Naruto one more thing: unlocking his potential. In the Dragon Ball-verse, there were three ways to unlock potential: Ultra Divine Water, Guru of Namek, and the Old Kai. The Ultra Divine Water was the most painful, the Old Kai was the most cumbersome, and Guru was the simplest.
However, Guru didn't mention it, and Naruto didn't ask.
It wasn't that Naruto didn't want the help, but the timing was wrong.
Naruto believed he should only unlock his potential once enhanced training no longer improved his strength. Only then could he maximize his development.
He wasn't a Saiyan. To keep pace with the Z Fighters, he had to squeeze every drop of value from every resource available to him.
Collecting the Dragon Balls was simple. Naruto just ran between the scattered villages across Namek.
With Guru's instructions and Puru accompanying him, the process went smoothly. It didn't take long to gather all seven.
"Leave it to me. Summoning Porunga requires the Namekian language," Puru proposed as he arranged the seven spheres on the ground.
Naruto shook his head. "No need. I can do it."
"After spending so much time with you all, I've learned some Namekian."
"Alright you do it Naruto," Puru nodded in praise.
"Come forth, Porunga!"
As Naruto summoned him, the sky over the planet turned pitch black. A massive column of light erupted, and a Porunga over a thousand meters tall filled Naruto's vision. The enormous body filled with beefy muscles.
Compared to him, Earth's Shenron looked like a tiny green caterpillar.
"Summoner, speak your wishes. No matter what you desire, I can achieve it. But I can only grant three wishes."
Perhaps they were born from the same source, as Earth's Shenron and Namek's Porunga had identical sales pitches. Their appearances, however, were worlds apart.
The Porunga of Planet Namek had a name of his own.
In the Namekian language, Porunga means "God of Dreams."
"The first wish, restore the surface destroyed by the Tree of Might. Return it to how it was before."
Porunga considered for a moment before answering.
"Yes. This is simple." Red light flashed in his eyes, and the devastated land began to recover.
If the Namekians themselves had caused the planet's destruction, Porunga could not have restored it. However, because it was ruined by outsiders through violence, the divine dragon could act.
It was the same as resurrection: the divine dragon could not revive those who died of natural causes, but he could bring back those killed by another.
Naruto suspected that the way Porunga granted wishes functioned like karma.
This was why Porunga could not restore Planet Namek if the Namekians had overdeveloped it into ruin. But destruction caused by the Tree of Might was something he could handle. Otherwise Namekians would've dealt with the barren lands.
"Your first wish is granted. Speak your remaining two."
Puru nodded to Naruto. Naruto turned back to Porunga. "Porunga, can you make me the strongest warrior in the universe?"
Porunga fell silent. "Apologies. This wish is beyond my ability."
"I want..."
"Apologies. This wish is beyond my ability."
Naruto rephrased the wish he had once made to Earth's Shenron.
The answer remained the same.
"As Guru said, Porunga's wish-granting is not omnipotent. Earth's Shenron has many limitations, and the Porunga of Namek is no different."
Naruto refused to give up. "Then, Porunga, is there a planet called Cereal in this world? Does a dragon that requires only two Dragon Balls exist there?"
Naruto was fixated on becoming the strongest and obsessed with Cereal because he was terrified by the idea that a lifetime of grueling training could be eclipsed by someone simply trading their lifespan for a wish.
The title of "strongest in the universe" felt too cheap if it could be bought.
"Apologies. I have never heard of this planet, nor of a dragon with only two Dragon Balls. All dragons must abide by the number seven." Porunga shook his head. "Please state your wish. If you have none, I shall take my leave."
Naruto actually breathed a sigh of relief. As an entity more stronger than Earth's Shenron, Porunga knew more. If he said it didn't exist, it truly didn't. He already guessed that he was in AU when Turles invaded Namek.
"Very well." Naruto thought for a moment. "Can you resurrect the man inside me?"
He was referring to Adult Goku, who resided within his seal.
"Unfortunately, this also exceeds my ability."
Porunga could not resurrect him either.
"Are there any other wishes?" Porunga asked. Sweat had begun to bead on his forehead. He had failed to grant several wishes in a row.
The pressure was immense.
Naruto considered and spoke the wish he had planned beforehand.
"Can you perfectly activate the hidden bloodline power within me? No side effects, and do not change my appearance."
Because he possessed three times the cell volume of a human in the Dragon Ball-verse, Naruto already trained three times faster than others. However, his Sage Body was not in its perfect state, much like the Nine-Tails inside him, which was only half a beast. If he could perfectly activate his bloodline, his strength would improve by a massive margin.
Porunga fell into contemplation. This time, he thought longer than he had to restore the land.
After a long silence, Porunga spoke. "This is difficult. But I can achieve it."
"But this wish exceeds the scope of a single wish and requires two to fulfill. Do you agree?"
Naruto froze. A single wish wasn't enough?
Regardless, he only had this one wish left, and nothing else was worth wishing for. Naruto nodded. "I agree."
"Alright, your wish is simple!"
Naruto remained silent, his expression deadpan.
'Didn't you just say it would be difficult? Are your dragons always this full of hot air?'
Before Naruto could dwell on it, bright light engulfed him.
In that instant, he felt his entire body fill with surging power.
Heat. Naruto felt as if he were inside an erupting volcano, every cell in his body melting. His frame swelled rapidly like a balloon. The muscular form with standing hair reappeared, but this time the display was even more exaggerated. The bulging muscles across his body exceeded the limits of human imagination.
'So cold.' Naruto felt as if he had fallen into a freezing hell, his very soul frozen solid. Those bulging muscles deflated like a punctured tire. Simultaneously, all the chakra and Ki in his body concentrated into his eyes. When he opened them, heaven and earth seemed to freeze.
Standing beside him, Puru caught a glimpse and felt as if his soul had been torn away, falling into a spiral vortex.
Fortunately, the phenomenon lasted less than a second. Otherwise, even Puru, with a battle power of 8,000, would have been sucked into the vortex, unable to break free.
Heat and cold alternated, causing Naruto to swell, then shrink, then shrink, then swell again.
The cycle didn't last long. Soon, the two forces blended seamlessly.
Eventually, both his eyes and his body returned to their original appearance.
"Your wish has been granted, so... until next time!" Porunga declared, then eagerly transformed into several beams of light and flew in all directions.
'Why do I get the feeling Porunga is running away?'
Naruto shifted his attention to his own body.
"So strong..." Naruto stared at his hands in disbelief. He felt his current state was at an unprecedented peak.
He felt enhanced countless times over.
Even if Frieza stood before him, he would fight. Frieza's initial form, at least, whether he could win was another matter.
But these were only Naruto's feelings. In reality, Porunga hadn't increased Naruto's battle power in the slightest. He had only activated the Otsutsuki bloodline within him. As for the height Naruto could ultimately reach,
That was for Naruto to explore and develop.
Still, it wasn't for nothing. While not a direct enhancement, it was better. Naruto gained something superior to a raw increase in battle power. Through Porunga's wish, Naruto's strength now surpassed Isshiki and Momoshiki.
Theoretically, Naruto could now use any ninjutsu, Dojutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Secret Technique, or even Kekkai Genkai and Kekkai Mora he had seen or known about.
Therefore, not increasing his battle power was actually the better outcome.
