Chapter 5 - Corinthians on the Field – The Wall and the Maestro

Episode 5 – "Corinthians on the Field – The Wall and the Maestro"

Scene 1 – Flamengo Training Center, TV Room

The Flamengo players gather in the room to watch the match between Corinthians and Grêmio. The atmosphere is tactically focused, with a touch of rivalry.

Matheus Blake (leaning on the sofa, arms crossed):

— I want to see how that Elliot guy plays. They say he's a genius, but I haven't seen anything yet.

Miguel Nakamura (watching closely, notepad in hand):

— Grêmio's number 8. And Corinthians' number 1… he's a giant.

Nicolas Agustin (serious look):

— This game will be high level. Two captains… two brains. Let's watch everything.

---

Scene 2 – Corinthians Stadium, match atmosphere

The crowd roars in the stands. The camera follows the players entering the pitch.

Narrator (deep voice):

— Corinthians and Grêmio face off in the opening round of the U-20 Brazilian Championship. On one side, Thiago Ramos, the unbeatable captain-goalkeeper. On the other, Elliot Cross, the English brain of the Gaucho team.

Thiago Ramos enters determined, gloves on, eyes fixed on the field.

Thiago (to the team):

— The game starts with soul. We finish it with heart.

Right behind, John Meijer enters spinning the ball on his finger.

John (smiling):

— Time to show how to dominate the midfield.

On Grêmio's side, Elliot Cross walks in calm, but with sharp eyes.

Elliot (in English):

— Their team is strong. But chess is my game.

---

Scene 3 – Start of the match

The ball rolls. John Meijer controls it in midfield, turns and sends a first-touch pass that breaks through two defensive lines.

Miguel Nakamura (watching on TV):

— His spatial awareness is insane… almost instinctive.

---

Scene 4 – First duel: Elliot vs. John

Elliot tries to carry the ball, but John presses high. Intense passing exchange. It's a battle of maestros.

Nicolas Agustin (slight smile):

— That's what I like to see. Midfielders who think faster than they speak.

---

Scene 5 – Grêmio's dangerous chance

Elliot finds a gap in the defense and plays a deep ball. Grêmio's striker shoots hard...

Thiago Ramos dives with absurd reflexes and saves it one-handed.

Matheus Blake (impressed):

— That was a goal. The guy caught it in the air like it was a mosquito.

---

Scene 6 – Corinthians goal

John steals the ball, drives forward, dribbles two and backheels it to the striker, who finishes with precision.

Narrator:

— What a goal! Corinthians take the lead with art and fire in their eyes!

---

Scene 7 – Elliot strikes back

Elliot accelerates, dribbles two defenders, and shoots from outside the box. The ball smashes the crossbar.

Miguel Nakamura:

— A monster. He doesn't quit.

---

Scene 8 – End of the match

Final score: Corinthians 1 – 0 Grêmio

John dominates the midfield. Thiago saves everything. Elliot almost turns the game, but Corinthians hold strong.

Thiago Ramos (to Elliot at the end):

— Much respect. But today, the field was ours.

Elliot Cross (not angry, shaking his hand):

— We'll meet again.

---

Final Scene – Flamengo Training Center

Nicolas (closing his notebook):

— We'll have to be at our peak. Corinthians is a team with soul.

Blake (confident):

— I don't care about soul. I care about goals.

Miguel Nakamura (calm):

— I want to face them. Every challenge is a key to my next level.

The TV announces:

"The U-20 Brazilian Championship has just begun!"

Everyone smiles, the rivalry is heating up.
