It was way before the sum had risen, and Aanya was still at Sagnik's place.
Her phone had vibrated on the side table. She unlocked her phone only to be greeted by a notification pop-up from that senior.
+91-7096XXXXXX: Hi, I have been meaning to say something for quite some time now, I would really appreciate it if you made time today just to listen me out. I will send you the location. 5 sounds good?"
She sighed with a hint of exhaustion.
"What was his name again?" She thought.
"I didn't even save his number" she spoke out blunt.
She just sent a lazy text.
Aanya: Kk. đ
She tossed her phone on the bed, and was about to get out of the bed.
It was hardly 6, and she had no plans on leaving any time sooner, but had to anyway.
She went to the bathroom, jolted the bolt behind her, and washed her face with ice cold water.
She wiped her face with the towel present on the shelf just beside the mirror.
She was dabbing her face of any moist and was about to get out of the bathroom,
"Ohhh. Are you crazy?" She spoke in horror. Just outside the bathroom was standing Sagnik with his eyes hardly open, he stayed quiet for some time before he spoke up.
"No i am not. But, I didnt find you in the bed, I thought you left, but then I saw the bathroom occupied, so I stayed to say Good morning"
He spoke up still disoriented. He was rubbing his eyes because they just wouldn't open.
"Ohh. G-Good M-Mornin-ng"
Obviously she stuttered, she was flustered, how could she not be? He spoke up as if he just didnt disrupt his sleep just to say Good morning.
"O-Oh, yeah. Wait." He said and left to look for something. "Just wait, 2 minutes"
He came back not long after. "Here, take it, I happened to have an extra one in the stock"
He said, as he offered a toothbrush to her.
She just trailed her gaze between his face and the toothbrush.
Before he spoke up defensively. "N-no, I didnt plan anything.. I m-m-mean, you wouldn't have brought a brush right? This was unplanned"
How adorable!!. she thought.
"Like hell, doesn't seems like it, you have it all planned! But, nonetheless, thanks for it." She said and occupied the bathroom again
He just stood there for good 2 minutes before he allowed himself to breath, he breathed out with so much effort.
"God was she always so cheeky?! How come I never saw this side of her before"
He left the room and just lazily went to the kitchen. He grabbed his coffee mug, added hot water and coffee powder into the cup..
He gave it a quick stir, and took a sip of it, he could feel his system finally waking up.
He grabbed 2 bowls, and added milk and cereals.. he brought it to the table and was waiting for her to come.
She came onto the table and she caught him waiting for her at the table.
She was surprised. True. But, she was happy also.
"Oh. You didnt have to."
He snapped out of his thoughts, and said.
"Ah, its nothing. Come. Let's eat together."
She just scratched the back of her neck, and joined him anyways.
They were having breakfast together.
Under one roof.
"O-o-oh, sorry. I forgot to ask. How do you like your morning coffee?" He said before he was about to get up to make her morning coffee.
But, Aanya had other plans, she caught hold of his wrist "Just calm down will you? Its fine, I dont have coffee in the morning, just have your breakfast in peace, why are you rushing about so early in the morning, give yourself a break"
He obeyed her, and resumed having his breakfast.
They resumed having their breakfast. But, it was not long before, their toes touching each other, by mistake.
Both of them thought the other person would be the one to move their feet away, and just like that, no one moved their feet away.
What ever this was, it was quite palpable now, and both of them were quite aware of this fact.
