Chapter 25 - Purpose #1

The next day arrived, and the warm sunlight filled my room, bringing new hope. The noise and commotion from outside the room indicated that my room was close to the dining hall, where breakfast was being prepared.

I woke up from bed, looking around me. Carla, Blaze, Isabella, and Jack were still fast asleep on the bed or sofa, with peaceful and calm faces. I gazed at Jack's face for a moment, remembering our conversation the night before, which was full of enthusiasm and hope.

In the same room, Jack and I chatted casually while enjoying his late-night snack on the bed.

"You're sent by Robin to meet me, what's up?" Jack asked with a mouthful, looking at me curiously.

"Yes, that's the purpose of my visit," I replied with hope.

"Hey, can you be my teacher?" I asked with enthusiasm.

Jack smiled, "Pftt, Hahaha. Hmm, before that, I appreciate meeting my friend Carla. And your presence has set me free. I was worried she'd freak out after waking up. Alright, I'll be your teacher."

"Really? So, when do we start?" I asked with excitement, looking at Jack with sparkling eyes.

"Hahaha, you're like me when I was young," Jack said with a laugh. "Tomorrow, we need to go to Islandia. It's my hometown, and we'll start training there."

After gazing at Jack's face for a moment, I smiled slightly, feeling impatient. The loud noises were still coming from outside the room. I opened the door slowly and saw the servants and Murphy's siblings busily preparing food.

"Hey there, you're awake," Zeco greeted me from afar, approaching me in front of the door with a warm and friendly smile.

"How about your friends, are they awake?" Zeco asked.

"Hmm, I think they'll wake up soon," I replied.

"What are you doing?"

"Ah, we're always busy like this when Murphy is here," Zeco said. "Let's take a walk while waiting for breakfast to be ready."

"Sure, let's go!" I welcomed his hand, and we started walking.

We walked towards the living room, and I couldn't help but notice the beautiful and luxurious decorations along the way. The crystal lamps hanging from the ceiling emitted soft and elegant light, while the thick and soft red carpet made my steps feel more comfortable.

We arrived at the History Room, which was filled with beautiful and expensive antiques, war collectibles, and armor displayed nicely. However, a beautifully painted portrait hung at the end of the room. I was taken aback, "Wow, is this painting real?! It's incredible!" I exclaimed with admiration.

"Of course, this painting is legendary, and the person in it is our grandfather," Zeco said with pride. "However, his death remains a mystery to this day, and many people don't know what really happened."

"Ah, I see," I said with interest. "I'm intrigued to learn more about your family's history."

Zeco nodded, "So, what brings you here?"

"Ah, the guy you freed last night, I want him to be my martial arts teacher," I replied with enthusiasm. "I want to learn from him and become stronger."

"Really? Is he willing?" Zeco asked again, looking at me curiously.

"I think so, but I need to leave this place later today," I replied while looking at the path leading outside.

"So soon?" Zeco asked with surprise. "Don't you want to stay longer here?"

"Yeah, I think so," I replied. "But I don't have a reason to stay longer in this area, right?"

"Yeah, that's true," "But I hope you can enjoy your time here before leaving."

I smiled, "Of course, I'll try."

*TING...TING...TING...

You hear that, right? Let's go." I smiled slightly, "Of course." We started hurrying towards the dining room.

I and Zeco sat down next to each other, close to Murphy's seat. Murphy started to come out of his room and joined us in the dining room.

"So, is everything ready?" Zeco asked one of the servants as he sat down.

"Yes, sir. The food is served neatly and ready to be eaten," replied the servant with a soft tone.

"Alright, let's give thanks for the life we've been given. Let's enjoy this meal together."

Breakfast went smoothly. However, Murphy's siblings just sat quietly without reacting much to my presence. I guess they were awkward with their brother, Murphy, just like I was.

"So, what do you plan to do later?" Murphy asked while tidying up his plate.

"Hmm, I think I'll leave," I replied while wiping my mouth.

"Hmm, today?" he asked again.

"Yeah, I think so. I've already met the person I'm looking for, sir," I replied softly, trying to hide my awkwardness.

"Where are you planning to go?"

"Islandia, isn't it located in the north?" I asked.

"That's right. We're currently in the north too. I haven't been there in a long time, so I won't be able to help you," Murphy said.

I smiled slightly. "It's okay, sir. I don't need anything. Besides, I'll only be there temporarily."

After breakfast was almost over, *PLAAKKK...PLAAKKK...PLAAKKKK a loud noise came from Carla's room.

"JAAACKKKK, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! YOU'RE ALWAYS CARELESS, WHAT'S IN YOUR MIND?!"

"Ugghhh, sorry..." Jack winced, asking for forgiveness.

Murphy, who heard the commotion, smiled slightly. "Servant, prepare food for them," he requested while standing up.

The servant bowed, "Yes, sir," and headed into the kitchen.

Murphy started walking slowly into his room.

The commotion continued in the room, "What now? Where am I?! Is this your fault too?!" Carla's emotions erupted towards Jack.

Carla started walking towards the door, "Hufttt, I'm fed up with you," she grabbed the door handle and opened it.

However, Isabella just opened the door right in front of Murphy, who was walking nearby. "E-ehhh, MON-MON-MONSTEEERRRRRR," Carla's scream shook the palace.
