Hey everyone, I started looking for inspiration for what's coming up and realized I'm not really sure what I want to happen in the My Hero Academia arc, since there are so many possibilities.
The main character could become a top-tier hero, join the vigilantes or anti-heroes, or simply not interfere at all, at least not in matters related to heroes, and pursue other paths, like starting their own academy or agency.
But there's also the option of them becoming more villainous. And I don't mean that in the sense of becoming evil, since being a villain, to me, isn't the same as being a completely evil or twisted being.
The villain is more about opposing the protagonist's beliefs. To give a simple, generic example, if there were a book where the protagonist was the Demon King who wants to eliminate humanity, the hero would be the villain. The whole protagonist/villain thing, I feel, has nothing to do with good or evil or even morality itself.
In the case of modern society, and I think Dante could easily fall into that category, he might not like how society works in that world.
In that sense, perhaps he could join extremist groups or specific villain groups, like the Meta Liberation Army. The group Dante would never join is the League of Villains, and this first group would join the second, as happens in the canon. Dante would immediately leave both.
But these are just examples and ideas that came to mind, but I'd still like to know what you all think, which is why I'm writing and posting this.
There's still quite a bit of time left in the arc, so there's time to think about where to take the story when it happens.
P.S. I also feel it would be more entertaining to see Dante facing off against the heroes rather than the villains; besides, one villain can face another, so it would be all you against me, at least that's what I think.
P.S. 2. I just realized I confused "antagonist" with "villain"; it still follows a similar line of thought since it would still go against the ideals of what it means to be a true hero and how powerful and corrupt people control others. I hope you understand where I'm going with this.
