Hey everyone, I was going to upload the chapter yesterday, but I got a report due for a project and it went terribly. I gave myself the day to redo it and improve my grade, so I spent practically all of Thursday sorting everything out, which is why I didn't have time to write the chapter.
Also, I want to apologize for the spelling mistakes I still make, since I'm very particular and sometimes miss words.
I also want to mention that I have an evaluation exam in November, which covers a lot of subjects from my degree, and it's super important that I do well for my studies. So there might be days when I don't upload or write anything, since I'll be busy with that; I just wanted to give you a heads-up, but it will only be in November, and by the next chapter I'll be almost ready to prepare the final details of this arc to finish it.
Finally, I'll make an addendum for the harem; there I'll list the main character's romantic partners, but only when they appear and become official. No names will appear beforehand, but you can write suggestions for potential members right there.
With nothing more to add, let's continue with the chapter.
------------------------------------------------------------
Yamato was on a secret mission, so secret that she wasn't hiding anything about what she was doing. Her mission? If everything went to hell, she was going to find the coliseum's prizes. The idea was to find the alchemy fruit; if she couldn't find it, he could take the rest; it was a decent consolation prize.
After searching for a while and knocking out several guards, she managed to find the prizes. The bad news was, she didn't find the fruit; it turned out it was just a fake lure to attract Dante. The good news was that there were several things she could sell later. There were some Devil Fruits, swords, and gold. She couldn't estimate the gold value, but from what Yamato remembered Isis telling her, it must have been around 600,000,000 Belly in gold.
After getting a cart and loading the most valuable items, she set off for where the airship was parked.
???: "You look familiar. You're one of the women who's been accompanying my brother for the past few years."
Yamato turned to look at a woman dressed in knight's attire. She was a beautiful woman, somewhere between 20 and 30 years old. She had dark blue eyes and blue hair; she was about 1.90 meters tall. Yamato thought she looked more like an Amazon than a World Noble. This was because, during the time Yamato had spent with Dante, she had seen many World Nobles, the ones in spacesuits, and they were all ugly.
What she didn't know was that the mother of the woman in front of her was an Amazon who had been enslaved. Within her family, the only ones who shared the same parents were the eldest daughter and the third son.
Yamato: "Do I know you?" she said rather indifferently, since she didn't know why this woman would be looking for her.
???: "My mistake, my name is Dianna Manmayer, youngest daughter of the Manmayer royal family, younger sister of Dante. Tell me you're Dante's, his lover??"
Yamato frowned at the word "lover," as traumas aren't so easily forgotten. Dianna, raised in a patriarchal system, believed that every woman close to Dante was part of his harem, something far from the truth.
Yamato: "Dante is my master and nothing more. I'm not suicidal like Balesca, tempting fate with what she's trying to do with Dante."
Dianna simply smiled at Yamato.
Dianna: "Well, getting back to the important matter, I'd like you to put down that cart with those items so I can take them." Another Holy Knight would have forced her or simply taken the cart from Yamato, but Dianna's childhood was heavily influenced by Dante, instilling in her a sense of respect for others and basic courtesy.
Yamato: "Unfortunately, my master asked me to keep all these items to sell them later." She said, placing her kanabo on her shoulder, signaling her readiness to fight.
Dianna: "It's a shame. I would have preferred to avoid facing my brother's pupil, but there's no other choice." White wings sprouted from her back, and as she drew her sword, it glowed with sacred light and arced toward Yamato.
Upon seeing the attack, she reacted immediately, releasing the cart and leaping into the air, dodging the attack aimed at her head.
In midair, Yamato used Geppo to launch herself at Dianna, coating her kanabo with Haki. But just as she was about to strike, her opponent extended her hand, creating a defensive wall that blocked the attack.
In that position, Dianna, with her heavy sword, enveloped it in more holy light, extending it so that she was within striking range. The barrier vanished, and she struck Yamato with her sword coated in holy energy.
(Note: This isn't holy energy per se; it's more like how some Zoan-type Devil Fruits manipulate elements, such as Yamato's ice-based attacks; Dianna has light-based attacks.)
Yamato managed to block the attack in time, sustaining minimal damage. On the ground, she generated more Haki in her weapon, creating lightning and launching herself at Dianna.
His Contrinvaten created a shield in front of him, stopping Yamato's attack. But in less than 3 seconds, the shield shattered, allowing Yamato to reach Dinna's guard and unleash a powerful blow.
Dianna managed to dodge the attack by leaping back. Seeing the damage she had inflicted with her attacks, she decided to take things more seriously.
Dianna: "I expected nothing less from someone trained by Dante, so let's raise the bar."
With that, Dianna's body turned completely white, her hair went white, and her facial features vanished, leaving only the empty eye sockets, replaced by a golden aura. A featureless mask with eyeholes appeared on her face, and a golden halo surrounded her head.
Yamato: "It looks and doesn't look like my master's Devil Fruit," he thought, witnessing Dianna's complete Devil Fruit transformation.
Dianna, wielding her sword with both hands, enveloped it in light, generating a pillar of light that traveled into the sky.
Yamato realized the danger of the attack, so she transformed into her hybrid Devil Fruit form, the Inu Inu Fruit: Model: Okuchi no Makami. She also coated her kanabo with as much Haki as possible.
And the moment Dianna lowered her attack towards Yamato, she launched herself at Dianna, her attack ready.
Yamato: "Thunder Bagua," she said, colliding her attack with her opponent's, creating a shockwave and a massive explosion.
As the fight raged on, neither of them considered that all of this could have been avoided. Yamato's belongings were going to be sold in the future, and Dianna wanted them as resources for the Knights of God, remembering that neither she nor Alex were Knights of God, despite being dressed as one. So if she had bought the things for a large sum of money, Yamato would have sold them to her, and they both would have left without having to fight.
...
Elsewhere in the world, a broadcast was playing. It showed a conflict, a fight between four people against one.
Gilgamesh was training alongside Garp; he would be joining the Marines in a few months and wanted to become the youngest admiral in history, something he absolutely believed he would achieve. Using Durindana, he repelled several of Garp's attacks, even though Garp wasn't using his full power.
Bogard: "Hey, come see this," Bogard was heard saying to himself from afar.
They both stopped what they were doing to go see what had Bogard so focused on Marie.
Gil's eyes widened when he saw the person on the broadcast. It was Dante, fighting against Ruby's elite.
It turned out that Ruby herself had ordered the broadcast to take place in case of a conflict.
Some might wonder why she would do that. The answer is simple: to create a great spectacle; after all, that's how Ruby makes a living. Furthermore, he knew there was a chance to defeat Dante, and what better way than to broadcast it? And knowing the trump card they held, he wasn't far from the truth.
Right now, many people—nobles, pirates, marines, commoners—were watching the broadcast, at least those who could.
Back to the fight.
Dante surveyed the area and the people around him. The truth was, he had no intention of saving anyone, given that they were all bad people in one way or another, and besides, there weren't any children; the youngest person he saw was about 20 years old, so as far as he was concerned, they could all be killed.
He quickly moved from his position when he saw the rhinoceros attack simultaneously with Hogan, but that wasn't the worst of it. He already had several targets on his body, aimed at his heart, brain, liver, and stomach.
Using Geppo, he flew to where Edgar was but was intercepted by several cards above him, from which fireballs, swords, and bullets emerged.
This gave Edgar time to nock his bow and fire arrows imbued with Haki.
Dante, summoning Tonbogiri, managed to deflect most of the projectiles, escaping with only a few scratches.
The moment he landed, the rhinoceros was charging at him, but Dante, using Haki, counterattacked, destroying a large part of the rhinoceros and turning it to dust.
Seeing that he was standing on top of several things, he dropped his weapons and took a breath. As he did so, several drawing knights attacked him.
Using martial arts, Dante deflected the knights' swords and shields, attacking their weak points while searching for a way to destroy them.
In the middle of this attack, Hogan appeared, attempting to deliver an uppercut, but before he could get close, he received a drawing knight to the face, stopping his movement.
The moment he shook off the knight, he saw Dante in his guard position, and before he could react, Dante kicked him in the jaw, followed by three blows to his stomach, chest, and face, knocking him to the ground.
He could have continued the attack, but Hogan wasn't Dante's target; he only had his sights set on someone else, Edgar, who realized what was happening.
Dante used Soru Volo directly at Edgar but was intercepted again by several explosive cards.
Edgar retreated behind Franco, who took a card, crushed it with both hands, and when he opened it, several more cards appeared, positioning themselves behind him.
Several projectiles were fired directly at Dante, aiming for his heart. He managed to erase the Haki targeting his brain and liver, but not his heart, because Edgar was continuously using his ability to replace it as soon as it disappeared.
Several swords flew towards Dante, but he didn't let them reach their target. The moment the first sword arrived, Dante grabbed it by the blade, deflected it, took hold of the hilt, and countered the rest of the projectiles.
With the sword he held, he launched an energy attack at Franco, but Franco simply took out a blank card and extended it forward. The moment the card touched the attack, it was absorbed by the card, appearing on the card's image.
Dante clicked his tongue at this, then jumped when a cartoon robot attacked him from above.
Franco took advantage of the situation to return Dante's attack with his own card.
Dante summoned the Fusion Sword to destroy Franco's attack while using his arm to block the robot's attack. He then looked at them and, with three slashes, destroyed it, turning it to dust.
At that moment, Edgar arrived where Priscilla was, a little panicked.
Edgar: "If this keeps up, we'll lose; I'm running out of arrows. If I'm going to keep attacking, it has to be for decisive blows; we can't keep wasting time, use the trump card now."
Priscilla: "Are you sure?" she said, seeing Dante reach Franco using Soru only to be saved by a now-recovered Hogan.
Edgar: "You're going to wait until we're all dead to use it?"
That made Priscilla realize they couldn't keep wasting time, especially seeing how Dante was destroying Hogan and Franco in just a few moves.
She simply nodded to Edgar, then took out her notebook, flipped through eight pages, and touched each drawing in different places.
Eight people emerged from the pages: Doflamingo, Boa Hancock, Crocodile, Mihawk, Garp, Shanks, Kaido, and Big Mom. These were drawings I had prepared beforehand.
Dante turned around to see his eight new opponents.
Priscilla took the three vials of blood she had stored in her bag and, without wasting a moment, went to hide in a place far from the conflict.
Before Dante realized what was happening, Garp and Kaido were already upon him.
Jumping backward, he managed to dodge them, since these guys, even at only 25% power, could still use all their abilities, including Devil Fruits, weapons, and Haki.
But Dante had to stop his Geppo jump, as several threads fell right where he stood, only to have to use the ability again, leaping upwards and dodging a sword slash.
At that moment, several targets appeared on his body, all in vital areas; if he were to damage them, his life would be in danger.
A Big Mom atop a cloud slashed him vertically, sending him crashing to the ground, only to be met with a punch from Garp that knocked him back, followed by a kick from Hancock.
Dante, now on the ground, got up to block another kick from Hancock, only to realize that the ground beneath him had transformed into quicksand.
Trapped, Dante was hit by several ranged attacks, creating a plume of smoke that obscured the area. After a few seconds, a figure appeared flying upwards. It was Dante in his hybrid form, wielding the Fusion Sword.
And before anyone could react, accompanied by a sonic wave, Dante vanished.
At that moment, Edgar felt a shockwave around him. He glanced to his side, only to see Dante staring intently.
Just as he was about to escape, Dante, using his sword, delivered three superficial cuts to Edgar, causing his eyes to turn white and him to fall to the ground, dead.
Dante stood there, staring at his dead opponent, his legs trembling from pushing himself to the limit to reach Edgar before anyone noticed. His legs were weak now, but they didn't stop him from fighting.
A heart attack struck Dante head-on, but he was unharmed, and he knew it, having been attacked this way before and knowing the outcome; that's why he hadn't dodged it.
He looked at the 10 opponents he still had to defeat.
"Let's do it, one by one," Dante told himself.
A wild Garp appeared beside him, throwing a Haki-infused punch. Dante dodged it, sending the blow crashing to the ground, and with agility, kicked the fake Garp. But he didn't stop there; he followed up with several more kicks, the last of which sent him crashing to the ground.
At that moment, he ducked, dodging an energy blast from Mihawk; consequently, the cartoon Garp was sliced in half. Dante took advantage of this and, using the Fusion Sword, sliced its head in half, hitting the sphere and destroying the cartoon.
Dante: "One out of eight."
Disassembling the Fusion Sword, he took only two blades and, using Soru, reached Crocodile. Crocodile attempted a sand attack, but it wasn't fast enough, and he was cut into several pieces and destroyed in seconds.
Dante: "Two out of eight."
At that moment, a cartoon version of Mihawk and Shanks appeared, both simultaneously attacking Dante with a horizontal slash. But Dante transformed into his full form and leaped, causing their attacks to collide.
At that moment, blue energy swords appeared above them, falling at great speed. They both jumped back, dodging the blades.
Then, Dante appeared behind Mihawk to attack, but a fireball, created by an accidental dragon, erupted from above.
Dante used Soru to dodge it, but Mihawk wasn't so lucky, taking the attack head-on and being completely destroyed.
Dante: "Three out of eight."
Realizing he had to finish this quickly, since he noticed the two individuals spying on him, he took Murasama from his inventory.
And in mid-air, his sword coated in Haki, he unleashed an energy slash at Doflamingo, who was unable to defend himself, being cut in half. Unfortunately for Dante, Doflamingo began to regenerate.
I couldn't attack again, as a fire and lightning attack from Big Mom's accompanying clouds was coming from the right, while a giant fireball was approaching from the left.
Using Geppo, he quickly dodged to the ground, dodging the attack and the aftershocks. Once on the ground, he was met with a kick from Hancock, which he blocked with his arm. His right arm slowly began to turn to stone, but with a burst of Haki, the petrification was destroyed.
A cartoon version of Shanks appeared behind Dante, launching several dangerous slashes. Dante coated his fist in Haki, and as he used Murasama to block the next attack, he launched a pressure punch at his opponent.
His opponent, due to the proximity, couldn't dodge it, and being only 25% of the original's power, he didn't have enough defense to stop the attack's internal destruction, causing the sphere of the drawing to be destroyed without severely damaging the drawing itself.
Dante: "Four out of eight."
For some reason, the Big Mom drawing began fighting with the Kaido drawing, implying that the drawings were absorbing elements of the original characters' personalities; this gave Dante the opportunity to destroy the others.
With a powerful kick, Dante struck Hancock with enough force to slice her in two, and while she regenerated, he went straight for Doflamingo.
Seeing that he was alone at that moment, just like the original, he decided to flee, but Dante quickly caught up with him, and by the time he tried to counterattack, he had already been cut. After the eighth cut, Dante was able to destroy the drawing's sphere.
Dante glanced to the side to see the Hancock drawing in a fighting stance, but in less than 10 seconds, Dante had already destroyed its sphere with an internal destruction punch directly to its heart.
Dante: "Six out of eight."
Franco and Hogan watched in shock as Dante emerged victorious. He was taking advantage of the window to rest and regain his strength, but it looked like they would have to fight again in less than a minute.
Franco: "Is she ready yet, Priscilla?"
Priscilla: "Not yet, wait."
Hogan: "We can't wait a moment longer; we're about to die if you don't hurry," he said as he watched Dante use his katana to slice Big Mom and Kaido in half, managing to destroy one of them.
Hogan ran to where Dante was, ready to attack and waiting to catch him off guard.
Dante punched Big Mom in the stomach, destroying her instantly.
Dante: "Eight out of eight." He said as he dodged a blow from Hogan. He grabbed Hogan's arm and threw him to the ground. On the rebound, he kicked him, sending him crashing into a rock.
With the Murasama, he made several cuts, destroying the cards that were heading toward him. He looked at Franco, who was already quite frightened.
Dante walked slowly toward him, but mid-stride, he opened his eyes, only to see Whitebeard falling from the sky, his fist coated in Haki and his Devil Fruit powers on full display.
Dante used his Haki-coated sword to block the attack, deflecting much of the earthquake's power, but some cracks still reached him.
At that moment, Dante realized that this drawing was different. First, it wasn't black and white but completely dark red. Second, the power of this imitation was very close to Whitebeard's original power.
Whitebeard deflected Dante's sword with his arm and used his own vibration-enhanced weapon to attack Dante.
Instead of blocking, Dante decided to dodge. The moment the weapon struck the air, it began to crack, splitting a large section of the ground and causing the entire surrounding area to tremble.
At that moment, Dante coated his fist with Haki and delivered a direct blow to Whitebeard's head, sending him flying.
Several cards coated in Haki flew toward Dante, but it was just a feint. When he destroyed the last card, the entire surrounding terrain was suddenly shaken.
The island's tectonic plates shifted, splitting the land into several sections, some rising and others sinking.
Priscilla could only curse silently as she was interrupted, almost finishing the rest of her trump card.
Before he could do anything, a few cards appeared near Dante, and when they exploded, they released pepper and itching powder, causing Dante to lose his concentration.
Hogan wasted no time and focused all his power, strength, and energy into his index finger, creating a sphere of power.
Hogan: "Hanpatsu," he said, launching the energy ball at Dante, which hit him squarely.
The attack wasn't very effective, as Hogan was tired and exhausted, but it achieved its main objective: to send Dante flying toward Whitebeard.
Dante realized what was happening too late, so he could only turn around to block the punch infused with Haki and vibrations.
Whitebeard's punch struck Dante directly, creating a shockwave; the sky cracked, the ground shook, and Dante stood motionless, his transformation undone, his body covered in wounds and blood.
This was seen as a defeat by Dante, and Franco quickly lunged to kill him before he could regain his senses.
The Whitebeard impersonator did the same, and using his spear coated in Haki and vibrations, he slashed Dante horizontally.
At the last moment, Dante ducked, dodging the attack of the fake Whitebeard.
Franco opened his eyes as he saw the spear attack coming in his direction and, unable to do anything, took the full force of it, being practically destroyed. He was sent flying, covered in blood, and left unconscious but alive, with almost all his bones broken, falling far from the battlefield.
Dante concentrated his Haki-coated fist and punched the Whitebeard impersonator directly in the chest.
Dante: "Heruzu fisuto: Hakai no michi." As he said those words, a wave of air pressure erupted, destroying everything in its path. The entire torso of the fake Whitebeard was destroyed, leaving only his limbs and part of his head.
Heruzu Fisuto: Hakai no Michi is an enhanced version of Heruzu Fisuto, the former being all the accumulated power released in a single direction by the latter.
Everything behind the fake Whitebeard was turned to dust, leaving only nothingness, even the air that had escaped from that area.
Dante clutched the arm he had used to launch the attack, cramping from the pressure exerted by his body.
Hogan remained motionless, witnessing all of this. He didn't move when he saw Dante walking toward him, nor did he react when Dante punched him in the jaw.
Dante looked at the unconscious Hogan lying on the ground, only to remember that there was still one enemy left to defeat, only to feel a sense of danger.
Summoning Murasama in his still-usable arm, he blocked a Haki-infused energy blast.
Dante was dragged a good 10 meters from his original position to deflect the blast, which flew past him, slicing through everything in its path.
He turned his gaze to his attacker, only to be shocked to see who was standing there.
There stood a man with very distinctive attire, a charismatic smile, and a very distinctive mustache. The person standing there was none other than Gold Roger, the Pirate King, but depicted in dark red.
He couldn't continue looking at the cartoon Pirate King, as a man was about to violently stomp on him.
He barely managed to dodge the blow, only to see another man, also depicted in dark red.
It was a man the Marines wanted forgotten, a man who had been able to fight Garp and Roger toe-to-toe. The person standing in front of him with his sword ready to attack was Rock D. Xebec, the captain of the legendary Rocks pirates.
