Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Road to becoming a legend (Fixed)

Now on the third day of Water Seven, we're ready to go. The day before, Trini and Ruminoff were together, spending quality time as a family. Meanwhile, I was already training Arthur and looking for ships bound for Alabasta.

There weren't any that went directly to the destination, so I took the one that made the most detours. This way, we could go to interesting places and help them with any unfavorable situations they might be facing.

The problem is that it leaves in three more days, so we have to make time.

The next day, we trained. Arthur is interested in knightly things thanks to the stories I told him, more specifically those of King Arthur of Camelot, so he was inspired by them. Of course, I couldn't give him a sword; that space was mine, so I offered him the spear, saying that King Arthur's spear was an artifact that held up the world and was very powerful, and with that, he felt comfortable using it.

Trinity practiced her aim with weapons, including crossbows, bows, pistols, and rifles. In the end, she kept the rifle for a while; however, I bought her a coat that could hold about eight pistols at once.

It's worth mentioning that Ruminoff left in the morning; he found a boat to drop him off near where they live, so after a few goodbyes and a few tears, he headed home.

The second day of waiting wasn't much different from the previous one, except that I also decided to train, more specifically, to learn the remaining six naval styles. I know the procedure for developing it, and since I didn't have much else to do,

I won't be able to use Haki, at least, unless I meet someone powerful who, when we fight, makes me activate my Haki.

I asked the system how it was going with Haki. It turns out it can tell me that.

Currently, Observation Haki is in its basic phase, Armament Haki is in its unawakened phase, and Conqueror's Haki is in its awakened phase.

When I asked the system what the terms "awakened" and "unawakened" mean, it turned out there are five phases of Haki, at least according to the system.

Unawakened means that I can't use it for any reason; awakened means that it's ready to be used but can't be controlled; basic means that you can use it, but only a few abilities, which are generally the most basic; intermediate means that it has most of the abilities unlocked for that Haki with a good mastery of it, and advanced means that you already have all the abilities and complete mastery to use it however you want.

I hadn't realized I could use Observation Haki, but looking back, it makes sense. I only have one or two abilities.

I also discovered that Trinity has Observation Haki; that's why it was easy for her to shoot ranged weapons and recognize targets. In retrospect, she has it at a middling level. That's if she doesn't have the ability to see the future, and she uses the abilities she does have in a very basic way.

And Arthur...

He has nothing. Poor thing, that's going to change, but not now; he has to learn how to fight first, then I'll teach him the rest.

The third day was the same, except I decided to buy the system items, since the purchases are stored in the system; there's no problem doing that now.

Considering the amount of LP I have, which is 21,030,000 LP, and calculating what I plan to buy, I even have some left over.

First, what it is for me, being the fountain of youth or eternal life, which in the system are the same thing, costs 1,500,000 LP and also a pill for the bones, since the previous one was for the body or, specifically, for the muscles, which is 500,000 LP.

Now for Trinity, I have a sniper weapon that can take down up to 2,500,000 LP armored tanks. At first, I didn't consider the system's ranged weapons for one reason: they don't sell bullets; the weapon already comes with a certain number of bullets, and if you want more bullets, you have to buy the weapon again; the bullets don't come separately. But now I've found a way around this: a Paramecia-type fruit, specifically the Transmutation Fruit. With this fruit, you can touch something and transform it into anything; As long as we know what bullets look like, we can create infinite bullets with the resources provided, with the exception of sea stone, since it can't be touched. The fruit costs 3,000,000 LP.

For Arthur, I have a very special spear, the Durindana, Hector's spear, which is said to be the same as Durandal and which he used in the Trojan War. The weapon costs 7,000,000 LP. The spear comes from the Fate franchise, is very long, and has a golden sword tip. In some ways, it looks like a sword, but with a handle that measures almost 1.80 meters (6 feet) tall.

(Note: I couldn't find the weapon's measurements, but it appears to be taller than Hector, with the hilt being almost the same size, so the weapon must measure about 2.5 meters (8 feet), also by eye.)

Also for general purposes, I bought two technique books: one on spears for Arthur and Rapid Progress and another on close combat techniques, which works for all three; both cost me 140,000 PL.

Another thing I bought was the blueprints for a weapon design, plus the materials needed to make it, which cost me 1,000,000 PL and 3,000,000 PL respectively.

With all that purchased, of the 21,030,000 PL, I have 2,390,000 PL left over, which I'll save for later as an emergency savings.

Once we were on the third day of training, the ship departed from Water 7. We'll be passing by a fair number of islands, as the ship will be selling merchandise from island to island.

This helps us in case there's an island with a pirate or bandit problem, so we can help them; that way, we'll slowly make a name for ourselves. It also matters if the ship has a run-in with pirates on the open sea, as the age of piracy is in full swing, and there must be thousands of pirates searching for the One Piece.

(Note: I searched for information about the day Roger died, but I didn't find anything, except that it was 24 years before the start of the story, so I'll make up the date here to give an idea of the story's chronology.)

It's been 8 months since the pirate king died, and we'll be on the ship in 3 months; in another month it'll be Christmas, so we'll arrive in February. It's worth mentioning that next month will be my birthday, and I'll finally turn 15.

He also mentioned that Trini's birthday is in March and Arthur's in June.

Once aboard the ship, each of us helped out in some way on the vessel.

Trinity was in charge of fishing; her fishing and swimming skills made her an important member of the crew. Arthur trained with the spear in the mornings, went to sleep in the afternoon, and acted as a lookout. I had two roles here. Trini helped in the ship's kitchen, and Arthur acted as a bard at night.

My ability to tell fantastic tales made almost every night unforgettable for the crew. I also sang and danced, sufficiently developing these skills, giving her 100,000 LP for those two.

Some of the stories I told were Norse mythology, Arthurian legends, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy 7, much of the lore of Runeterra, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Code Geass, among others.

During this voyage, we were really busy; in addition to all that, there were also pirate attacks. Most were small crews who escaped or were defeated with cannons.

As for the islands, well, each island had its problems: pirates, bandits, or even the townspeople themselves.

The only good thing was that it gave us time to solve those problems. Clearing the area of criminals wasn't that complicated, but looking for evidence of corruption among the town's high officials was.

In the end, in these cases, we always get praise and celebration. The bad thing about this was that it delayed us a day before we got to Alabasta; at least it wasn't always like that.

Finally, as we were approaching Alabasta, a pelican arrived with the news, and when I saw the news, I smiled.

The arrival of a group of heroes sweeps through Paradise.

Written there were some of the charitable works we'd done on some of the islands; there was also what happened to Nilox and his crew. I had to be the one to hand over the pirate and request the reward in my name.

I showed it to my companions; Arthur seemed excited, still thriving with his dreams of becoming a knight, with his hopes and fantasies. Trinity, on the other hand, didn't give it much thought; fame and all that didn't interest him; he was more interested in anonymity.

And with that, we continued out at sea, catching fish and hunting pirates. With the number of pirates we'd handed over to the navy, we'd reached 85,000,000 berries.

After a few detours, we arrived at Alabasta, safe and sound. To a place filled with land and sand. But it will serve as a cover for the system store purchases and to get them used to them, not to mention that these conditions will make both of them stronger and more characterful.
