Demonic Rankings Tier I - The Body

Tier I - The Body ( Physical Awakening: Ranks 1 - 3)

The awakening of Sin begins in the flesh. Power is unstable, visceral, and deeply tied to instinct.

---------------------------------------------

Rank 1: Abysslings

---------------------------------------------

The Abyssling stage marks the first true awakening of sin within the body. This is not a controlled transformation but a violent emergence in which the individual's inner sin manifests physically, reshaping them in unpredictable ways.

---------------------------------------------

Abyssling's Innate Abilities/Traits

---------------------------------------------

a. Sensory Distortion:

Upon awakening, the Abyssling's senses are overloaded.

Sounds become overwhelming, as if every whisper were shouted directly into the mind. Colors bleed into one another, overly vivid and almost painful to process.

At this stage, the Abyssling cannot distinguish between instinct and perception. Hunger may feel like pain. Anger may feel like clarity.

b. Sin Manifestation:

Rather than manipulating sin, the Abyssling becomes a host to it.

Sin energy erupts outward through the body:

* Flesh hardens, cracks, or mutates

*Limbs may extend, sharpen, or distort

* Natural weapons form without warning

These manifestations are inconsistent and unstable. The same attack cannot be reliably repeated, and the body often suffers damage from its own power.

c. Physical Transformation:

The body undergoes rapid, chaotic adaptation.

Muscles swell beyond natural limits, bones reinforce unevenly, and internal systems shift to sustain bursts of extreme exertion. However, these changes lack refinement, which can lead to strain, tearing, or collapse after prolonged use.

Despite this, Abysslings possess explosive physical power, often surpassing even trained fighters in raw strength.

d. Primitive Power Usage:

Abilities at this stage are not techniques; they are outbursts.

Sin energy may:

*Surge through strikes, amplifying impact

* Release in bursts that disrupt surroundings

*Coat parts of the body instinctively during combat

There is no efficiency. Every use of power drains the body and risks self-harm.

e. Combat Nature:

An Abyssling fights like a storm. Unpredictable, overwhelming, and short-lived.

They rely entirely on instinct, often attacking relentlessly without regard for defense or strategy. While dangerous, they are equally vulnerable due to a lack of control.

Defining Trait: Sin controls the individual

---------------------------------------------

Rank 2: Wretches

---------------------------------------------

The Wretch stage represents the stabilization of the awakened body, where chaos begins to take form, and instinct evolves into survival-driven control.

---------------------------------------------

a. Sensory Refinement:

The overwhelming sensory input of the Abyssling stage begins to settle.

Perception sharpens rather than floods. The wretch can now:

*Track movement with precision

*Recognize emotional intent in others

*React faster to environmental changes

Their awareness becomes a weapon, allowing them to anticipate danger.

b. Sin Stabilization:

Sin energy no longer erupts uncontrollably; it lingers and responds.

The Wretch gains the ability to trigger physical enhancements at will:

*reinforcing limbs for strikes

*Hardening the body for defense

*Enhancing speed or reaction time

These abilities are still limited to the body and are neither repeatable nor reliable.

c. Physical Evolution:

The body becomes more efficient.

Mutations settle into functional forms. Claws retract instead of tearing through skin, and enhanced limbs move fluidly rather than erratically. The body begins to conserve energy, reducing self-damage.

Endurance increases significantly, allowing for prolonged combat.

d. Developing Techniques:

Rather than random bursts, they learn patterns:

*Timed enhancements

*Repeated attack sequences

*Defensive reactions tied to instinct

Their sin begins to shape how they fight, not just how strong they are.

e. Combat Nature:

Wretches are adaptive predators.

They observe, adjust, and exploit weaknesses. While still driven by sin, they are no longer blind to consequence.

Defining Trait: The individual begins to use sin to survive.

---------------------------------------------

Rank 3: Sinbound

---------------------------------------------

The sinbound stage marks the complete synchronization between body and sin, where power becomes constant rather than conditional

---------------------------------------------

a. Heightened Awareness:

The senses reach a new level of clarity.

The Sinbound perceives not only physical movement, but intent and pressure. The presence of other beings can be felt through subtle shifts in energy, emotion, or space itself.

Their awareness extends beyond sight and sound. It becomes instinctual understanding.

b. Sin Integration:

Sin is no longer activated. It is always present.

The body operates under continuous enhancement:

*Strength, speed, and durability remain elevated

*Regeneration improves significantly

*Energy flows smoothly without internal conflict

This eliminates the strain seen in earlier ranks

c. Externalization of Power:

For the first time, sin extends beyond the body.

The Sinbound can:

*Project energy outward through strikes

*Coat weapons or surroundings in sin energy

*Release controlled bursts without losing stability

This marks the transition from internal power to expressive ability.

d. Refined Techniques:

Abilities become intentional and repeatable.

Each Sinbound develops a unique expression of their sin:

*Focused attacks

*Defensive constructs

*Area pressure effects

Their power begins to reflect identity rather than chaos.

e. Combat Nature:

A Sinbound fights with control, precision, and presence.

Every movement has purpose. Every action carries weight.

Defining Trait: The body and sin become one
