When the next morning came, Gray woke up earlier than usual. He intended it to be that way since, for the first time in weeks, he didn't have an early meeting.
The overseas call from the previous night had gone smoothly, so most of the urgent work on his desk had finally been cleared.
It felt strange now that he actually had time. But still, he wanted to get the most out of it. After getting ready, Gray made his way toward their kitchen.
He was thinking of preparing a nice breakfast for everyone, just as he used to in the past.
The kitchen was still quiet when Gray entered. He was the only one awake by now. He rolled up the sleeves of his shirt and opened the refrigerator, looking through its contents.

After looking for a second, he decided to make something not too complicated. He wanted it to be like then, just a simple breakfast. That's why he just cooked some pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, and cut some fresh fruit.
