Halle looked at Claus coldly.
He was Horton's father, Emily's grandfather. Halle should show respect to him, as a well-educated junior. But at this moment, she couldn't.
"Ms. Holt, aren't you overreacting? If this child is not biologically related to Horton, then how do you explain the result of this paternity test?"
Claus gazed at the agreement on the table.
Halle knew it was a paternity test agreement but she didn't dare to say.
The Holts were in dire straits. Halle was only a divorced woman without any power. She might come to the Hutts and ask for anything she wanted if the kid lived with her.
Claus thought that Halle did not make a move only because Horton had not lived up to her ambition. When Horton became the head of the family, Halle would use Emily as a bargaining chip to ask for more.
Claus's face instantly turned grim. He would have to keep Halle away from Horton, and couldn't allow the child to be a stumbling block for Horton and the Hutts.
