Bruce carried Hilla to the bed and sat her down. She watched when he squatted down and put on her slippers.
"Your feet are cold. You will suffer period pain again."
The last time Hilla had her period, she felt pain in the first two days. Horton had warned her not to touch anything cold. She didn't care about it, but Bruce still remembered it.
Hilla pursed his lips and nodded obediently. Her bright black eyes stared at Bruce.
Seeing he was about to get up, she rushed over and hugged his waist tightly again.
"It's your fault. You promised to stay with me, but you didn't keep your word."
She was now like a little girl who was willful and sassy.
She held Bruce tightly with her arms, her face pressing against his abdomen.
There was a bath towel between them, but they still felt the warmth of each other. Bruce immediately tensed up and straightened his body. He snorted awkwardly and looked away.
"I just left to take a shower. I didn't even leave the room. Hilla, let me go first."
