Naomi waved her hands at Clement's face and called his name multiple times. Without warning, Clement grabbed her and caressed her cheeks with a blissful smile. "I'm so glad that you've finally accepted me, Zoey."
"You're drunk, Clement. I'll take you home." Naomi suppressed her annoyance using a gentle tone.
"I'm not drunk! The night's still young!" said Clement with a hint of frustration.
"All right, you're not drunk. Let us continue when we get back. Does that sound good?" Naomi was akin to a patient mother coaxing her child at that moment.
Clement pondered for a few seconds and agreed, "Let's go back, Zoey." Naomi gave him a few more comforting words before calling for the waiter.
After paying the bill, Naomi had to produce a Herculean effort to get Clement into the car. She twitched her lips in displeasure when he was still murmuring Zoey's name.
