"Thank you for accepting my invitation, Dr. Fuller," Naomi said courteously after they took a seat.
"Huh?" Zoey glanced at her dubiously.
"I thought you would dislike me because Nora was rude to you. It seems that I may have jumped to conclusions," Naomi explained politely.
Zoey smiled. "I don't take Dr. Smith's comments to heart as I'm quite a busy person. However, because of her, I don't have a good impression of the Smith family. Then again, after interacting with you, I think you and her have opposite personalities."
"I hope you don't take it to heart, Dr. Fuller. Nora has been spoiled rotten, so she can be quite arrogant. But she doesn't have evil intentions."
Naomi tried to clear Nora's name.
"It's none of my concern whether she's spoiled or not, Ms. Naomi. You don't need to explain it to me."
