"Mr. Yancey, I swear we uphold all food safety standards to the highest level." The manager was sweating as he explained in a shaky voice.
It was made clear to him that their restaurant would be doomed if Leo ever found them breaching food safety rules.
"It's fine. You may leave now." Zoey waved her hand weakly.
She was glad that there was an attached restroom in the private room. Otherwise, she could not imagine what would happen if she had to dash to the restroom outside.
The manager caught a glimpse of Leo, afraid to leave without his permission.
"Just go."
Zoey waved her hand again as she spoke.
"Yes, Ms. Fuller. Please give me a shout if you ever need me."
Although Leo looked grumpy, he did not stop the manager from leaving.
Feeling relieved, the manager fled the room immediately.
Zoey held Leo's face in her palms, trying to console him. "Come on. Smile."
