"You're so nice for treating my parents well, Zoey!" Stacey thanked Zoey sincerely. She was worried that someone with Zoey's status would look down on country bumpkins like her foster parents. Fortunately, her savior was just as kind and gentle as she thought when speaking to her parents.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Zoey was confused. "They worked hard to raise you well, and for that, I'm very grateful to them." She was honest with her words.
Stacey grinned widely. She was indeed a carefree, happy -go-lucky girl. "Zoey, I just really admire and adore you! I would fall head over heels in love with you if I were a man," said Stacey.
Stacey's last sentence triggered Leo intensely. He walked up and pulled Zoey by her waist. "She's mine," he remarked.
Upon seeing such a handsome and flawless guy in front of her, Stacey's eyes glinted and she felt nervous.
"Zoey, who's this guy?" Stacey asked Zoey cautiously. She could not bring herself to look Leo in the eyes.
