"I rushed over to get breakfast for you and the children. Try them."
Charles passed the other two food containers to Zoey. "Leo, come eat with Zoey."
Leo was polite toward Charles as he was considered Zoey's brother.
"There's so much good food in the Yancey residence. Why would you bring food from outside?" Yvonne laughed at Charles.
"Didn't you say you wanted to be friends with me yesterday? Where's my breakfast?"
Charles scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry - I've forgotten about you."
Yvonne sneered excessively and pretended to be angry. "It seems like you're not that honest either. You told me that you'd treat me like your sister, but you've forgotten about me so quickly."
"No! I..."
Charles was anxious. Looking at Zoey, he hoped that she would help him say something.
He didn't forget about Yvonne on purpose. He had simply forgotten everyone else because he had paid too much attention to Zoey and the twins.
