Alan snorted and raised his chin. "Don't think I'll accept you just because of your status and position."
He continued, "Zoey is like my granddaughter. If you don't behave in front of me, I'll take her and the twins away, and you won't be able to find them ever again."
Leo looked at Alan. "I don't think you'll be able to take them away as long as I'm here."
Just when Alan was about to retort, the young man added, "Because I will also treat you well. You won't be able to find someone who treats you better than I will."
Leo's words made Alan feel more at ease.
