Zoey looked at Leo and thanked him with all her heart.
Leo tightened his arms around her and said, "Darling, you don't have to thank me. You're my love, and it's only right for me to be there for you."
He had been thinking of ways to help with Zoey's troubles ever since he received the findings from the investigation.
That was how he knew that it was a good idea to visit Christopher's grave.
Zoey laid her head against Leo's chest, and her ears were right where his heart was. She felt as though her heart had calmed down as she listened to his strong heartbeats.
"Leo, I'm glad you're the one I met back then. I've always regretted how I could be so naive to be tricked into bed with a stranger. That thought remained even after the twins were born. But now that I know it's you, I thought that maybe it was destined for us to come across each other," she muttered softly.
