Joanne's eyes reddened as tears streamed down.
"Aunt, is that how you think of me?" She asked, clearly feeling aggrieved.
Yana smiled, but there wasn't even a hint of mirth in her eyes.
"Joanne, don't force me to hate you." With just one sentence, Joanne was so scared that she forced her tears back.
Yana's imposing manner caused her to be so flustered that she didn't know what to do, and her normally shrewd mind went blank for a moment.
"Aunt, I..."
"The gate is there. Go."
All being so blatantly given an order of expulsion, Joanne was angry and aggrieved.
Action preceded reason, and she knelt down in front of Yana.
"Aunt, I was wrong. Don't kick me out." Joanne was in tears as she said, "You know better than anyone else how my grandparents and my father treat me. The only love I have is from you guys. If you kick me out, I will become a child with no one to rely on."
When Yana saw her crying miserably, her heart softened a bit in the end.
