The four people sat at the table.
Serena first gave Zach a bowl of winter melon pork ribs soup and said, "Taste it. Shawn simmered it for two hours."
Zach looked down at the soup. His eyes flickered slightly, and he scooped a spoonful to drink it.
The taste surprisingly wasn't bad. At least, it wasn't much worse than the cooks at home.
"Mr. Yancey has studied cooking?"
Zach raised his head and asked with a complicated expression as he glanced at Shawn.
Shawn laughed and said, "Mr. Carter, you can just call me by my first name, or how can I call you father-in-law in the future?"
"Ahem..."
Zach unsurprisingly choked on the soup he drank in.
Serena laughed as she patted his back and said, "It's not like Shawn said anything wrong, so why are you reacting so strongly?"
