"Kayden, Kayla, do you know why Mommy is not willing to marry Daddy so soon?" Leo took the twins in his arms and asked them in a soft, gentle voice.
Kayden merely cast Leo an indifferent look without answering him.
Kayla, on the other hand, blinked her big lively eyes and played along dutifully. She asked, "Why, Daddy?"
"It's because of this man." Leo pointed to Xavier, who was groveling like a dog, and said, "He broke your Mommy's heart and made her so sad. She almost lost all faith in love. So, what should we do to help Mommy restore her faith?"
"Bash him up," Kayla clenched her fists and said with righteous indignation.
Leo planted a kiss on her forehead and said, "My baby girl is so smart."
By this time, the badly tortured Xavier was a sorry sight to behold. Upon hearing the conversation between father and daughter, his entire body convulsed involuntarily. There was hatred in his eyes, as well as a fleeting hint of fear.
