"What are you doing here?" Yvonne White stopped and asked, "You're not here for Janice, are you?"
Benjamin Taylor was stunned. He had not expected himself to bump into Yvonne and was about to speak, but Yvonne continued, "She's not in the hospital. By the way, has she contacted you recently?"
Benjamin paused and said, "I just came back from overseas."
"Oh, then forget it."
She continued to walk out.
Benjamin wanted to stop her, but something flashed through his mind and so he decided not to. He turned and continued to walk into the hospital.
As soon as Yvonne got out of the hospital, she went straight to the nearby police station.
"I want to report a case. I haven't been able to contact my friend for a week." Yvonne had walked into the police station and reported directly to the police. The policeman inquired some basic information, then asked. "Have you been to her home or to her relatives'?"
