Amon turned his head and his gaze met with her gaze, a teasing smile adorned her lips as she waited for Amon's reply.
"I do not understand what you mean Aurora, what are you trying to say?" He asked her.
"Oh, I am not trying to say, but I remember a certain night you came to meet big brother and he refused to help you, and then the following day Father suddenly heard about it from First brother and then you suddenly felt like saying a truth, just after. Too much of coincidences, is it not fourth brother?" She said, but this time her eyes were no longer teasing, they carried a tinge of fury.
"That is enough for both of you, I will tell you all, schemes and backstabbing only helps in separating the family, but also picking someone above family also breaks it, what kind of a father loves to see his children band against each other."
"I have not said anything concerning Vespers ill treatment from most of you, but just because he is not related to you by blood does not mean he did not grow up with you, make allies and reduce your enemies."
"For now, I do not want to hear about him, as I said, this is a family dinner, not a verbal battlefield." Marcus said, he had dropped his utensils and stared at all of his children as he spoke.
"Am I clear?" his voice came up once again.
"Yes father." all the children said in unison.
"Good, so Jonathan tell us what preparations have you made for the upcoming war?" Marcus asked as he changed the topic.
And like that, the conversation changed, soon after everyone was talking with another person, even the Emperor and his wives were not exempted.
At this point Vesper, had noticed the silence in the castle and wandered to find out where everyone was, but upon hearing that they were all in the royal dining room, he just walked into the courtyard in the open night.
He sat on a pillar crossed leg and meditated, closing his eyes and attuning himself with the world. For Vesper cultivation was as easy as breathing, he had never stayed for hours to connect with the surroundings, it was like a second nature to himself.
As he sat calmly he felt his senses extend beyond his body and he extended it further pushing it to see its end, and like that he covered ten meters, the thirty, then fifty, then eighty then a hundred meters, and he paused, he could see various presence, some calm, some hot, some cold, but there was one thing he noticed, some were moving at distance, some just swayed at a spot and the rest just remained there.
'So this is extended perception, connecting with the mana to detect people, but it seems space magic has helped me in achieving this earlier than expected.
Vesper opened his eyes, and then saw that the lights in the castle were no longer lit.
"It seems time moves faster than expected while cultivating." Vesper said as he dropped off the pillar landing without a thud, if one were to look closely beneath his feet there was a small gap between his foot and the earth.
'This should be nice to practice, I need to gain precise control, so this method is the most helpful out of all, I just need to make use of space element to coat my body, making me invisible to smell, perception and all.'
If anyone were to hear Vespers thought they would sneer at him, while the theory made it simple, in practice it was far more daunting than any other form of training, using an element to coat ones body required precision, which was okay, but to do that in every single moment, meant that one must have a high level of concentration and also be able to split your mind to do other jobs, it was basically making it a subconscious habit like breathing.
Vesper looked up into the sky as he took a step forward and vanished appearing in the hunting grounds and then he used his mana to coat his body as he moved, seemingly invisible from sight, smell, sound and all form of perception.
Unhindered he moved to the edge of the hunting ground, and crossed over to the eternal forest, Vesper took another step forward and disappeared deep into the forest, then he coated himself with his element and mana, then he walked through the forest.
He had decided to go with the most arduous method of training, training in a very dangerous location like the eternal forest was nothing short of suicide. But who was Vesper, a man who had braved his way through horrific training sessions, just to make himself stronger to avenge his mother.
Vesper walked around the forest avoiding beasts that were ranks above him, collecting herbs and exploring the forest.
Then he got to the front of a cave, extending his perception, he felt a very strong mana emitted from a small tree located in the cave, but the enticing part was not the tree but the element of the mana was space, as it was almost invisible to him, if not for the mana coming off from it, he would have just regarded it for a regular tree.
At this point Vesper had been doing a great job in his training, and then he went inside the cave, as soon as he saw the tree his pupils shrinked into pinholes, just by the tree there was a monster standing beside it, and as Vesper entered the cave the creature turned its head towards him.
It was a giant pangolin that had silver scale and a blue under belly, the silver scaled pangolin, a monster that was considered a high level threat, it was a grandmaster beast that had the element of space, it was very territorial and its attacks were impossible to defend against, making it the one creature that every empire did not want to come across.
As soon as Vesper saw its head turn, all his sense screamed danger as he teleported outside the cave and retreated appearing a hundred meters away from the cave. Just as he was about to relax he felt danger again and dodged, but he was not fast enough this time, his body had a severe gash from an invisible blade .
Feeling his life threatened Vesper teleported once more and reappeared a hundred meters and used the life saving measure of the artefact, as soon as he disappeared, the trees in the area he was cut into two as they fell.
Vesper appeared in a location fifty meters away from where he was and teleported once more.
The creature still in the cave looked at the human that escaped it and turned its head back to the fruit.
Vesper appeared close to the border of the eternal grove and he waved his hands summoning a green potion which he poured on the gash across his chest while gritting his teeth.
Then Vesper activated his movement technique and appeared inside his room, as soon as he appeared he saw a man standing in his balcony.
"It was about time you returned, I almost waited the entire night." The man said.
