"The time's up, students. Halt writing immediately and put your pens aside. If I still see you holding their pens in the next five seconds, you will be disqualified."
"You know what disqualification means, don't you?"
"It means you will be forced to repeat the year. It will be a permanent stain on your profile. You will not get the privilege to start your ninja career as a Chunin-ranked ninja upon your graduation, and you will start as a Genin."
"All the sufferings you have gone through in these five years will be wasted for these five seconds of hesitation."
"Your classmates will be Chunin. But you will be a Genin."
"You will become the butt joke for the new S-class students for a whole generation."
"Oof! Such a beautiful social death situation."
Kamishiro Kirito's voice was commanding and chilling. Yet, the students could sense a subtle hint of mockery and amusement in it.
Kirito's expression became playful as he asked with a smirk that made his whole face look even more punchable, "You wouldn't want that to happen to you, would you?"
As soon as the students heard those words, they paused.
Their faces paled. They broke out in a cold sweat.
Even the students who tried to cram a few more words into their test papers threw their pens aside in a hurry, treating them as outright cursed objects.
Too hot to handle.
Seimei looked at the scene with amusement, too.
Bruh, do you truly need to act in such an exaggerated manner? Seimei thought.
Meanwhile, seeing everyone behaving well, Kirito nodded with a satisfied smile.
He said, "A wise choice, indeed. Now, come here one by one, and submit the test papers. Once you do, you can leave the class."
"However, don't forget to check the notice board. You will find your practical test schedules there."
"As for the exact details, they will be revealed on-site."
"So, don't bother asking me. I don't know shit. Even if I did, I wouldn't tell you. I love my current job, after all. It's pretty relaxing. I won't risk losing my job by going against the rules."
Hearing this, the students struggled to keep their faces straight. Their lips couldn't help but twitch.
The Students thought: Of course, you love your job, you sadistic, psychopathic bastard. We know you had fun tormenting us, mere weak kids, all year long. And by the looks of it, the next batch of S-class students won't fare well, either. For you, an absolute demonic piece of *******, it's indeed pretty good and relaxing news.
Fortunately, they wouldn't have to deal with this man anymore. Once they grew up and gained more power, they would surely pay a group visit to their "dearest" sensei and sincerely "repay" him for all the "love" he had shown them so far.
But none of them dwell on it for long. And one by one, all of them submitted their papers and went outside the classroom.
Yuto stretched his body, held his hands up, and said in an excited voice, "Yosh! It's finally over. Only the practical exam is left. We don't have to deal with the headache-inducing theories and written exams from now on."
Nara Shikamo, who still looked sleepy, rubbed his eyes and nodded silently. His aura was lethargic.
Uzumaki Keiko crossed her arms against her chest, which looked as flat as an airport runway, and said, "Let's go check the notice board, guys. We still need to learn about the practical exam schedule."
Touma, Haneda, and Reina nodded.
Seimei agreed and said, "Yeah, let's go. The sooner we check it, the earlier we can go home and relax a bit."
"As for the actual content of the exam, there is no need to worry about that."
"...Probably."
Shikamo raised an eyebrow and asked, "What the heck do you mean by adding 'probably' at the end? Do you know something that we don't?"
Seimei indeed knew something.
Don't ask how he knows about it.
He was the current Hokage's son, so it was natural to have some inside information.
Seimei's expression became subtle, but he ended up shaking his head.
He replied, "Nah! I have no idea. The academy won't leak the test content to any student or their parents."
Unless your parent is the Hokage, Seimei thought darkly.
Shikamo narrowed his eyes and stayed silent. He decided to ask his father whether he knew anything about the practical exams of the S-class students.
But others didn't dwell on it.
Uchiha Touma said, "It doesn't matter. The practicals can't stop us."
Keiko chimed in, "Yes. With our current strength, passing the practicals should be a breeze."
Indeed. Unless they decide to spice things up and deliberately make things difficult for us, our practicals should be quick and easy. But some of the teachers have a few screws loose in their heads. I hope they won't stir up trouble. Seimei thought inwardly.
He wasn't being an alarmist.
But he knew the teachers very well. They were just too bored.
Although they would keep the practical exams fair, they could also ramp up the difficulty of the tests for the truly exceptional students.
And they weren't doing it to help the students grow further.
They just wanted to watch the students suffer and enjoy the show with a bucket of popcorn.
Seimei shook his head and said, "Okay, let's not waste any more time."
With that, he walked toward the notice board, and his friends followed him.
------------------------------------
The notice board had nothing special.
Each student had to report tomorrow to take their practical test according to the ninja specialization they had chosen at the beginning of the fifth year.
And those who had chosen a second specialization had to attend that specialization's practical test at a later date, too.
So, after they were done checking their schedule, they bade farewell to each other and went their separate ways.
Seimei also took off using the Body Flicker Technique and walked into a secluded alley.
He activated his Tenseigan to ensure no one was nearby.
Then, he guided his chakra in a specific pattern, causing invisible spatial fluctuations to occur around him.
And in the blink of an eye, he vanished from the spot.
A couple of milliseconds later, his figure suddenly appeared in his room out of thin air.
The moment his feet landed on the ground, he looked toward the table in his room, which was marked by his unique Flying Thunder God Seal.
Obviously, he had used the Flying Thunder God Technique to arrive at his room.
This space-time ninjutsu had indeed made his life more convenient.
He had marked many places in Konoha with his unique seal to teleport to specific spatial coordinates whenever he wanted.
But he still hadn't gotten any chance to leave his Flying Thunder God Marks in the vicinity of the prominent ninja clans and their properties.
It was truly a bit regretful.
There was nothing he could do.
He had gotten this idea from his father just a few days ago.
But he wasn't in any rush. He would have plenty of opportunities to do it in the future.
But that wasn't important right now.
Even the S-class practical evaluation wasn't important at this moment.
The first exam was the Anti-Personnel Division practical evaluation, anyway.
As long as they didn't throw him at a Kage-level ninja, everything would be fine.
So, he opened the door and walked outside his room.
Once he arrived at the living room, he saw the almost six-year-old Tsunade frowning hard as she read a book on the history of the Shinobi continent.
She wasn't fond of old, dry tales of past ninjas and their exploits.
But her mother made her memorize that.
The memory of the little Tsunade was actually pretty good. But as long as she found anything boring, she would subconsciously resist learning that, which led her to take more time to memorize the things she found dry.
Thinking of this little girl's crestfallen expression when she was told that she had to memorize the content of the history book, Seimei couldn't help but chuckle inwardly.
Still, she had been working so hard. So, she deserved a little break.
Thinking of this, Seimei said, "Little Tsunade, I'm back to play with you again."
Tsunade was startled at first. She was too focused on the book to notice Seimei approaching her.
Seimei's silent footsteps didn't help it either.
However, as soon as she recognized the voice, her expression brightened.
She turned her head and saw Seimei standing a couple of meters away.
She put her book down, got up, and hugged Seimei's leg with a smile.
She asked, "Really?"
Seimei nodded, "Hmm. You have listened to your mommy, studied hard, and been a good girl, right?"
"Good girls deserve reward."
"Today, I will play with you until lunch, and then, I will tell you another story."
The little girl cheered, "Yah~."
And just like that, Seimei spent many hours entertaining little Tsunade, who hadn't been tainted by gambling…yet.
