Ryuji then continued to other carriages. When he reached the fifth carriage, he found Zenitsu there.
Upon seeing Ryuji, Zenitsu rushed towards him, saying, "Senpai Ryuji, it's so good to see you! My anxiety has finally subsided!"
Ryuji warned him, noticing Zenitsu rubbing his face against his chest, "Zenitsu, I warn you, don't wipe your snot on me!"
Zenitsu lifted his face, sniffed, and gave Ryuji an embarrassed smile.
Ryuji could guess what had happened. Zenitsu, likely frightened by the sudden events, had come to the fifth carriage looking for him, only to find Tanjiro and Kyōjurō Rengoku instead. They had likely gone to Zenitsu's carriage after dealing with their own.
Let's go back to when the incident first occurred. Inosuke, guarding the eighth carriage, became excited upon hearing the commotion outside.
"Here they come! They're here!"
He drew his two Nichirin Blades, gripping the hilts with both hands.
The already frightened passengers became even more terrified when they saw Inosuke draw his swords.
Those near Inosuke quickly moved away. Some, overwhelmed by fear, even tripped and fell while creating distance.
Three shattering sounds followed, and three muscular demons tumbled through the windows.
Seeing these muscular demons, Inosuke recalled the giant spider demon he'd encountered on Spider Mountain—a painful memory, as he had been defeated by it.
While these demons weren't as huge as that spider demon, compared to ordinary humans, their musculature was exceptionally well-developed.
One of the three demons had disproportionately large arms. One arm was significantly larger than the other, resembling a gas canister. This arm was clearly specially enhanced.
While the demon with the disproportionately large arm was hampered by its size, the other two were not.
Inosuke's fighting spirit ignited, determined to avoid a repeat of his humiliation on Spider Mountain. "This time, no matter how strong they are, I'll tear them apart!"
