In an instant, he transformed into a yellow blur of lightning, appearing behind the other long-tongued demon.
The next second, the demon's head fell to the ground, followed by its body, which quickly dissolved into ash.
The passengers, relieved that the two monsters were defeated, breathed a collective sigh of relief. Zenitsu's performance had exceeded their expectations.
A little girl, captivated by Zenitsu, stood up and declared, "Big brother is so amazing! I'm going to marry you when I grow up!"
Zenitsu looked at the girl, threw himself down before her, and excitedly exclaimed, "Really? You really want to marry me?"
This was the first time a girl had confessed to him. Even though she was just a small child, it was enough to excite Zenitsu. Children don't lie; their feelings are genuine and trustworthy.
"Yes!" the little girl nodded.
Zenitsu grinned like a lovestruck fool, his expression rather lecherous.
The girl's mother, seeing Zenitsu's goofy grin, quickly scooped up her child and said to Zenitsu with disdain, "Children say silly things. Don't take it so seriously!"
Zenitsu, not a fool, sought to defuse the awkward situation. "Did I take it seriously? I'm just happy a child likes me. What are you thinking, lady?"
"You!" The girl's mother, offended by being called "lady," bristled, speechless for a moment.
Zenitsu stood up, looking at his hands and the two slain demons, and silently wondered, "Have I really gotten stronger?"
The situation in Ryuji's carriage (the third) was much simpler. Several demons had broken through the windows, but Ryuji swiftly eliminated them all using Water Breathing, Thirteenth Form, Domain Judgment.
His current strength was at the Hashira level; these low-level demons were no match for him.
After dealing with his carriage, Ryuji headed to the fourth carriage, where Seiichiro Sakata was. Seiichiro was relatively weaker, so Ryuji decided to check on him first. If he could handle it, Ryuji would leave him to it and then check on Shinichi Murata in the second carriage.
Upon reaching the fourth carriage, he found Seiichiro engaged in a fierce battle with three demons. These weren't the long-tongued demons Zenitsu had encountered, but large, muscular demons.
Clearly, these demons had focused their growth on strength and physical power. Seiichiro, not particularly strong, was struggling against three such powerful demons.
