"Captain Ryuji, why wasn't I given that test?" Kujou Hattori asked, a hint of confusion in her voice.
Ryuji looked at her and replied, "Because I didn't even know about this fun little test! If you're interested, you can try finding a gourd and doing it yourself sometime."
Ryuji was genuinely unaware of the gourd-blowing test. He hadn't actively overseen Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke's training, only intervening when Tanjiro had hit a significant roadblock and sought his guidance.
A series of sharp pops echoed as Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke successfully burst the three giant gourds.
"Fantastic! They did it!" Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi cheered, their joy palpable.
"Here—we made you some sushi rolls to take with you! Please defeat many demons!" Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi presented small wooden baskets.
Inosuke immediately grabbed a basket and eagerly opened it. Seeing the neatly arranged sushi rolls, he couldn't resist grabbing one and eating it.
Zenitsu immediately stopped him, "Inosuke, now's not the time to eat!" The sushi was intended to feed the entire team, not for Inosuke to devour alone.
Inosuke shrugged, "It's early; I haven't had breakfast. Are we supposed to wait until noon to eat this?"
Zenitsu, exasperated, snatched the basket from Inosuke, handing it to Ryuji. "Ryuji-senpai, please have the Moonslayer's second team share this."
Ryuji, surprised by Zenitsu's thoughtful gesture, smiled and accepted the basket. "Well done, Zenitsu!"
He then passed the basket to Kujou Hattori, instructing, "Share this with the second team. Eat up before we leave."
After distributing the sushi, Kujou Hattori noticed some remaining and returned the basket to Ryuji. "Captain Ryuji, there's some left; please share it with the first team."
The sushi was quickly divided and eaten, solving their breakfast problem.
At that moment, Giyu Tomioka arrived. Shinichi Murata, a veteran Demon Slayer, recognized him immediately and bowed respectfully, "Tomioka-sama!"
The other members of the second team followed suit, bowing to Giyu.
Giyu ignored Shinichi and approached Ryuji and Tanjiro. Upon seeing Giyu, Inosuke excitedly shouted, "Hey! You're the guy who saved me on Natagumo Mountain! Let's fight! I'm even stronger now! I can definitely beat you!"
