"Blow gourds? How?" Tanjiro asked, confused.
Zenitsu and Inosuke also examined the gourds curiously. Inosuke immediately blew into one. Because his mouth sealed the gourd, he blew forcefully, nearly collapsing his lungs.
Sumi explained, seeing Inosuke's attempt, "Like Inosuke-san, blow into the gourd."
Kiyo continued, "Sister Shinobu makes Kanao blow gourds while practicing Total Concentration Constant. Sister Shinobu still practices it, so we gave you these gourds to train."
Tanjiro became interested. "Interesting training! Do we have to blow a sound to pass?"
Zenitsu tried blowing into his gourd.
Naho said, "No, you have to blow it up."
Zenitsu jumped, yelling, "What?! Blow it up?! Is that even possible? It's not a balloon; it's a hard gourd!"
He tapped Tanjiro's forehead with the gourd. "Hard? Hard?!"
Though Zenitsu didn't use much force, Tanjiro felt the gourd's hardness.
Sumi added, "Yes, and this gourd is special—harder than normal gourds. You'll gradually use larger ones. Kanao-san can already blow up gourds this size!"
Naho and Kiyo carried in a massive gourd, almost as large as they were. It was easily big enough to fit one of them inside.
Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke were stunned.
They looked at their small gourds, then at the giant one, and cried out in unison, "What?!"
"That girl can blow up a gourd that big?!"
"Kanao, such a small girl, can blow up a gourd that big?!"
"Monster! Monster!"
Their perceptions were shattered, their male pride wounded.
Tanjiro understood why Ryuji said his Breathing wasn't strong enough.
He quickly recovered. "If we master Total Concentration Constant, we can blow up that big gourd too! Let's start with the small ones!"
Inosuke immediately agreed, "That's right! I'll blow up a gourd bigger than that girl's!"
Zenitsu used Shinobu as motivation. "Shinobu-san, I won't disappoint you. Then we can go on missions together!"
