Knowing Inosuke's whereabouts, Ryuji didn't linger. They continued down the mountain.
Soon, they reached a relatively open area at the foot of the mountain.
Hundreds of people were gathered there, with the sounds of injured people groaning and {Hidden} division members talking.
Ryuji and Shinobu immediately attracted attention. Ryuji was surprised by the sheer number of {Hidden} division members deployed for cleanup.
The two {Hidden} members carrying Tanjiro found a space and set him down. Ryuji stopped them. "Do me a favor. Find the guy with the boar head and bring him here."
They readily agreed.
Shortly after, they returned with the unconscious Inosuke. One of them asked, "Senior Ryuji, anything else? We need to attend to other injured members."
"Thank you. You can go," Ryuji said, dismissing them.
Tanjiro, seeing Inosuke beside him, thought, "Everyone's alright. That's great!"
Shinobu approached Ryuji. "You're quite influential! You can even command the {Hidden} division members."
Ryuji smiled faintly. "I guess you've never been in a relationship."
Shinobu was taken aback, but he was right; she'd never dated.
She wondered why he said that, but Ryuji continued, "Your initiative has led to a misunderstanding. Even if I do something excessive to you, it's your fault."
Shinobu realized Ryuji was different from Giyu. Giyu would never say something so heart-fluttering.
"Oh? What excessive thing would you do?" Shinobu asked curiously, intrigued by his words.
It was the first time a man had spoken to her like that.
Ryuji had intended to scare her, but Shinobu seemed unconcerned.
She leaned closer.
Ryuji didn't take the bait. He knew what she was trying to do. If he kissed her and missed, he'd be the laughingstock.
He remained unmoved, placing his hand on his Nichirin Blade, then using Water Breathing, Thirteen Form: Real Judgment, with precise control.
