Just as Ryuji unleashed Dark Blade Massacre, his sword scabbard exploded into fragments.
The scabbard wasn't strong enough and broke after Ryuji forced the technique.
Numerous sword energies erupted around Ryuji. Although their sharpness and density decreased, they still managed to block Lower Rank Six's punch.
The force of the punch sent Ryuji reeling back several meters, landing him in front of Lower Rank Six's discarded torso.
Ryuji's breathing became ragged, and he spat out blood, collapsing onto one knee.
Seeing Ryuji injured, Lower Rank Six was overjoyed and immediately charged, intending to finish him off.
Ryuji knew he'd been exposed and that Lower Rank Six would attack. He ignored his surroundings and focused on regulating his breathing.
As Lower Rank Six charged, Ryuji drew the Nichirin sword embedded in the torso's heart.
"Water Breathing, Third Form: Flowing Dance!"
Using Flowing Current's precise footwork, Ryuji dodged Lower Rank Six's attack and circled behind it.
Lower Rank Six, caught off guard, punched into the thick blood mist, the force of the blow dispersing the mist.
"Water Breathing, Eleventh Form: Water Shadow Slash!"
Ryuji swiftly moved his sword, aiming a Water Shadow Slash at Lower Rank Six's neck.
"No!"
Lower Rank Six was startled and, like before, twisted its neck, severing its head to escape.
Ryuji had anticipated this and the Water Shadow Slash was a feint. His true killing blow followed.
"Water Breathing, Seventh Form: Form Drop Ripple Thrust!"
Following the Water Shadow Slash, Ryuji's hand, holding the Nichirin sword, precisely pierced Lower Rank Six's severed head.
Lower Rank Six's eyes were filled with resentment, but it was too late.
Its head and body turned to ashes and dissipated.
The blood mist also disappeared with Lower Rank Six's death.
Ryuji staggered, nearly fainting, but quickly used the Breath of the Forest to recover.
