Fencing
Beginner
Intermediate
The Flow; this is the first step to moving beyond the beginner level. The swordsman no longer has to think about basic movements in isolation; now he can connect them into logical sequences. Their main goal is fluency.
The Reactive; it has overcome its initial fragility. Its fluidity can now withstand the pressure of real, unscripted combat. Their focus shifts from executing their own techniques to surviving and responding to the opponent's techniques.
The Proactive Skirmisher; this is the final stage of the intermediate level and the bridge to the advanced rank. The fighter stops being a mere reactive wall and learns to take control of the engagement.
Advanced: Stages to overcome
The Technical Virtuoso; the swordsman has achieved near-perfect execution of all the techniques of his school. Their body and their weapon are one in motion.
The Anticipatory Tactician; by transcending the rigidity of pure technique, the swordsman ascends to a level where the mind becomes the primary weapon. He no longer merely executes movements, but conducts the symphony of combat.
The Intuitive Warrior; the swordsman has practiced technique and tactics so much that they have become subconscious. Now, take the final leap: from thinking to feeling.
Master: Path to choose
The Unbeatable Warrior; at this stage, the master has achieved technical perfection. His life is defined by reputation, combat, and the constant assertion of his dominance.
The Legacy Forger; the master has proven his worth countless times. Victory no longer offers him anything new. His purpose shifts from self-glorification to preserving his art.
The Philosopher of Steel; in the final stage, the master transcends the physical act of fighting. The sword and its philosophy have merged with every aspect of their being. He no longer needs to prove anything to anyone, not even to himself.
King/Sovereign: Depending on their deeds or contributions to the realm, they are referred to by their title.
The Judge of Steel; the Sovereign is the embodiment and final authority of the art of the sword. His word is law, and his judgment is infallible. He has transcended the need to prove himself; now, he is the proof.
The Heart of the Battle; the Sovereign has gone from being the judge of art to a decisive force in the fate of nations. His dominion is no longer measured in duels, but in the outcome of wars.
The Pillar of the Realm; its influence becomes so fundamental that it is woven into the very fabric of society. He is no longer just a warrior or a general; he is an institution, a pillar that sustains the kingdom.
Note: Few are the sovereigns recognized by the kingdom. The self-proclaimed are not worthy of the title.
Magic
Beginner
Intermediate
The Channeler; this is the first and most dangerous step of the intermediate level. The student has learned the basic incantations, but now must learn to actively draw in raw magic.
The Shaper; Once the mage can reliably channel energy, the next step is to give it a precise and efficient form. They go from being a mere fire hose to a sculptor who works with energy as if it were clay.
Note: Mainly from this point on, you begin to specialize in one element (this isn't mandatory, but it's highly recommended).
The Synthesist; this is the pinnacle of the intermediate level and the gateway to advanced arts. The mage has mastered the creation of individual spells and is now learning to weave together different magical concepts to create compound, synergistic effects.
Advanced
The Master of the Known; this is the first rung of advanced power. The mage has memorized and mastered virtually every spell, rune, and enchantment documented in the great grimoires. His power is based on encyclopedic knowledge and flawless execution.
The Weaver; by transcending mere memorization, the mage begins to perceive the underlying "syntax" of magic. He no longer reads the book of reality; now he can write his own sentences in it.
The Singular Channeler; this is the pinnacle of power for a mortal, the gateway to transcendence. The mage has internalized his understanding of magic to such an extent that it has merged with his very soul or life force. He no longer uses magic; magic flows through him.
Master: Path to choose
The Architect of the Occult; no longer merely channels power, but sculpts it into lasting forms. He becomes a creator working behind the veil of reality.
Arcane Regent; one who, having transcended mere manipulation of magic, governs it as if it were their own domain. He doesn't merely conjure; instead, he establishes invisible laws within the arcane fabric, teaching others to understand that magic is not just energy but a universal language that connects everything in existence.
The Silent Observer; the Magician has attained such perfect understanding and balance that his very existence becomes a universal constant, as fundamental as gravity or time.
King/Sovereign: Depending on their deeds or contributions to the kingdom, they are referred to by their title.
The Arcane Throne; the King of Magic establishes and consolidates his dominion through overwhelming magical power and incontestable authority. His reign is defined by order, control, and the demonstration of an insurmountable force.
The Heart of the Dominion; the King has transcended mere control to enter a phase of symbiosis with his kingdom. His power no longer imposes itself upon the land and its people, but flows through them. The health of the kingdom is your health, and vice versa.
The Will Incarnate; at the height of his power, the distinction between the King and the Kingdom vanishes entirely. The domain is no longer a place he governs; it is a direct manifestation of his consciousness and will.
Note: Few are the sovereigns recognized by the kingdom. The self-proclaimed are not worthy of the title.
