Chapter 29 - CHAPTER 28: AN ACT

Raia looked at her blankly. He couldn't yet process what had happened properly, as he was distracted by the things forming inside his body.

He was too caught up in the fact that after his meditation, not one but two spheres had formed inside him. He was still stunned by the unfolding scene, but one thing he noticed above all else was that the energies that were once inside him seemed to have... disappeared.

'Oh shit... Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit! Please don't be what I'm thinking right now!' Raia panicked, his expression turning into one of dread. He could feel every inch of his body telling him he still had his sharp senses but what was wrong now was that the Origins inside him were all gone!

As Raia's mind stormed into chaos, Sonica's head fumed with anger.

'Raia... This asshle! Is he really ignoring me right now?!'

"H-008, did you---" She was about to call his attention when Raia fainted right in front of her.

She stared at Raia, shocked, as countless thoughts filled her mind.

'You---!!!!! You dare sleep in my class?!' She became furious and almost kicked Raia while he was unconscious, but she couldn't. Her body felt so sore all over that she couldn't bring herself to put force into hurting him. She hadn't even used her powers earlier when talking to him.

Sonica knew it was the perfect time to take revenge on him, yet she couldn't even use her powers. She was helpless as well! A complete stalemate!

With a bitter heart, she bit her lower lip and sucked up her pride.

"Class dismissed! And get this... him out of here..." she gave her final order and went to the door.

Arman tried to wake Raia, and fortunately, Raia slowly opened his eyes. His face was still full of sorrow and worry as he contemplated his lost Origins.

'Where are my Origins?!'

-----------------------------------

Sonica left the building and went inside a training facility.

Every step she took echoed inside, and every echo formed cracks around the surrounding glass. What was more amazing was that this glass was made from the hardest materials that could handle the fiercest impacts.

However, the shockwaves she was emitting were far greater than the glass could withstand, and every second, the shockwaves became stronger. Veins popped out from her head, and her eyes turned red. One wouldn't know the level of humiliation she was feeling right now. The thought of the disrespect brought upon her and the failure she had become was parallel to the brewing rage in her heart.

"Raia... I'll surely get you... I'll surely get you NEXT TIME!!!"

Her anger reached its peak, and she let it out with a destructive scream. The soundwave spread inside the facility, and webs of cracks started to form on the glass.

In just a matter of seconds, the glass gave way and shattered into bits.

An excess wave that wasn't absorbed by the glass managed to reach outside, but it was already too weak to harm nearby students or buildings. It only dispersed with the wind.

With a blank and dead expression, Raia walked to the next subject feeling drained, literally. Not long ago, because of the meditation technique he did, it caused all of the Origins in his body to disappear, replaced with two crystal spheres.

'My Origins...' Raia cried internally, feeling regret. Deep inside, he wished he hadn't followed the instructions of that avatar.

"Damn it!" he sighed hopelessly.

After finishing his lunch early, Raia went to the restroom for a bit. There in the cubicle, he tried meditating to see and investigate what the two spheres inside him were.

'What are these things?' he asked in his mind, curious, yet he didn't even have a single clue.

'Is this connected to my True Origin Ability?' Raia made a guess, but he shrugged his shoulders, thinking it might not be as only Primal and Evolved Origins were the ones that disappeared... or were they?

'Wait... is Inner Self gone too?' he speculated. Though it was a possibility, he couldn't really tell. The only thing he could do was test if the Inner Self was still present inside him.

He walked out of the cubicle and looked around to check if any students were using the restroom. When he was sure it was clear, he walked closer to the mirror and called out his True Origin Ability.

"Inner Self... are you still there?" The nervousness was etched on his face as he called out, but it turned out the nightmare he didn't want was now reality.

"Hey... Inner Self?" he called out again, but no response.

"Are you avoiding me?" he asked just to be sure, but still, there was no movement on the mirror.

Seconds turned into minutes, but whenever he called Inner Self, it didn't respond. Not even a voice inside his mind. It was like he had just vanished, like a bubble that went 'poof'. Sweat built up on his forehead, and the stress he felt grew more dominant.

"Shit!!! My True Origin Power... it's freaking gone!!!" Raia cried out as he knelt below the sink. He felt like crying as worry took over him.

"How am I going to save my family now?" Raia remembered his family and how they'd been captured and brought to that aircraft while his brother was taken along with the other military officers. It pained him just thinking about it; it felt like a knife was repeatedly stabbing his heart. But because of that memory, Raia found a new resolve. He wiped his face and pulled himself up to his feet.

"No... I won't lose hope. My family needs me. I need to get them out of there, and to do that... I need to get stronger!" Raia looked at his reflection. His face was filled with hope once again.

"Wait... maybe I still kept my strength and all!" He clung to something positive. After that, he turned around and faced a wall, preparing to punch it with full force.

"Hayaaah---" he screamed while punching the wall with all his power.

BOGSH!

KRK!

"ARGHHHH! Ouchhh! That f*cking hurts!!!" Raia screamed in pain as the torturous agony spread through his fist. There was even a cracking sound!

What hurt the most was the fact that not only were all of his Origins including the True Origin were gone, but his strength as well. It was a complete disaster for him.

"My powers... NO!!!" he wailed, thinking he had become his once weak and frail self again.

Someone was about to enter the comfort room but hearing Raia wailed, he ran the other way around.

---------------------------------

Minutes passed, and Arman and Raia managed to get to their next class on time: Weaponry Class.

They entered a training facility and saw a woman in an all-black combat suit in the center. Her hair was raven black, and she carried a warm smile. Though it looked warm, almost everyone could tell that this instructor today was bad news. They could see through the facade behind that charmingly sweet smile.

When the clock struck one, their instructor spoke in a very heartwarming and comfortable tone.

"Good afternoon, everyone! My name is Prisma Blade. Please call me Sister Prisma, okay?" With that intro, all the students' doubts and suspicions vanished immediately. They were hooked by how nice the instructor seemed.

"Woah!!! Raia, we're in luck! We have a very nice teacher!" Arman looked at her with admiration, as if he hadn't doubted her in the first place.

Raia didn't answer. Instead, he felt more skeptical about the behavior of their instructor.

'Acting?... Or just her personality? Anyway, I don't buy it at all. My gut tells me she's not really nice.' Raia kept his guard up, as his instincts told him she boded destruction for this class.

Little did Raia know, he was partially correct. She was planning something evil but not for the students.

'Let's see... where's that cocky bastard right now? Ah, there he is.' Prisma's eyes fell on Raia. When their eyes met, the smile on her face grew even more accommodating and warm. This made the students fall for her mask, but Raia, on the other hand, started sweating profusely.

He could now tell she was an enemy!

"All right! Welcome to your Weaponry Class! I hope you are all excited to learn what weapons suit you best. I'll just remind you that this class will only be composed of weapon training and sparring sessions. Are you ready now to find out which weapons suit you best?" Prisma, with her sweet, angelic voice, explained the body of the whole class. The way she spoke would definitely make boys smitten and girls idolize her. It wasn't just her voice, her cute and kind face added to her charm.

With her combat attire, it showed her curvaceous body, catching the attention of most guys. She was the total babe in True Haven!

"Sister Prisma, uhmmm... I have a question..." a guy with red hair asked.

"Sure. What is it, dear?" Prisma gave him her full attention, which made the guy turn redder than his hair.

"U-uhhh... S-Sister Prisma... W-we don't see any... w-weapons..." Because of nervousness and how smitten he was, he couldn't even speak properly. But Prisma knew what he wanted to ask.

"Oh, there are no weapons here indeed," Prisma said with a bright smile.

"Then where are the weapons?" a cold and demanding tone echoed inside the facility. The students were shocked at how rude this girl was.

Everyone looked at her with condescending glares.

"So disrespectful!"

"How dare she do that to Sister Prisma?!"

"I wanna skin her!"

"Hey! Show some respect!"

The crowd began to whisper their displeasure at what was happening, and almost everyone shot the girl a death glare.

What was amazing, though, was that this girl was confident enough not to give a damn. She maintained her composure while waiting for the answer.

Hearing the increasing tension in her class, Prisma forced a smile and hushed everyone.

"Now, now, everyone. She was just asking a question. It's really all right. And yes, the thing is, there are no weapons because this isn't the place where we will be conducting our class..." she clarified to the students and announced something unexpected.

"We will do our training outside!" Prisma exclaimed excitedly, still keeping up the kind-instructor act.

After she said that, the back portion of the facility trembled. A few seconds later, it parted as natural light flooded the venue.

When it was fully open, they were surprised by the sight. It was an Outdoor Weapon Training Range!
