Yuuta opened his tear-filled eyes.
Beyond the altar, Valthor stood with both hands raised toward the enormous monument of the God of Shadow. His ceremonial robes stirred as the deep rhythm of the drums echoed throughout the Abyssal Sanctum, drawing the attention of every demon gathered around the Black Eclipse Circle.
"BY THE WILL OF OUR MOTHER, THE GOD OF SHADOW..."
Valthor lifted his head, his voice growing louder as he addressed the thousands of demons kneeling before the monument.
"LET THE SACRIFICES BEGIN!"
A tremendous roar erupted throughout the sanctum.
The demons raised their voices in unison, their cries joining the thunderous beating of the ceremonial drums. Soon, an ancient chant began spreading through the gathered ranks, its unfamiliar words carried in a slow, rhythmic melody resembling the sacred songs of an ancient tribe. The sound grew stronger as more demons joined, until the entire Black Eclipse Circle seemed to resonate with their worship.
