Chapter 232 - Chapter 231: The First Battle, Concluded

*Boom!*

A thunderous explosion erupted in the air as the golden figure seemed to teleport directly in front of the Hulk...

A fist with enough force to sink a ten-thousand-ton ship swung forward, tearing through the air with a piercing shriek. The shockwave from the sonic boom swept through like a hurricane, clearing everything in its path.

*DONG!*

A deafening impact, like the tolling of a massive bell, reverberated through the streets.

Sean's eyes flickered with surprise... his heavy punch had been blocked by the Hulk's outstretched hand. The green behemoth's snarling face suddenly loomed closer before a brutal headbutt smashed into the young man's body.

*Bam!*

Blood trickled from his temple. The metallic taste of blood filled his mouth. His brain buzzed, dizziness washing over him.

After a brief moment of disorientation, Sean's eyes burned even fiercer. A dazzling golden flame erupted from his body, surging like an astronomical tide.

A deep rumbling sound filled the air as an explosive shockwave erupted between the two, shattering the ground beneath them like fragile glass. Cracks spiderwebbed outward in all directions.

Time seemed to freeze for an instant, then snapped back to normal. Sean stomped the ground, leaving behind a horrifying crater, while the Hulk was sent flying at high speed, crashing into a nearby collapsing skyscraper.

The concrete wall crumpled like paper, torn open as the half-destroyed building shattered into rubble. A deep trench was carved into the ground from the sheer force.

Amidst the deafening roar, dust and smoke billowed upward.

"As expected of the Hulk." Sean's figure gradually emerged, a grin spreading across his face as blood trickled down from his brow.

On the other side, the Hulk roared in fury. His thick, powerful legs bent slightly before he launched himself into the air, smashing through the ruined building with a violent gale.

The ground trembled as he landed, his full-powered fist swinging toward Sean's body.

Facing the rampaging green beast, Sean's gaze sharpened like a hardened reef bracing against a storm.

Their fists collided like pile drivers, unleashing an invisible shockwave that swept outward like a raging tempest, sending swirling dust high into the sky!

"You're a worthy opponent." Even as the Hulk rained down furious blows, Sean still had the leisure to speak.

With a single punch, he sent the enraged green beast staggering back...

The young man then grabbed a massive stone pillar, one thick enough that it would take two people to wrap their arms around it, then hurled it like a javelin. The Hulk roared, smashing it apart with a hammer-like fist, sending a rain of shattered debris scattering.

The ground trembled violently as Sean seized the moment to charge forward, dragging a howling gust of wind behind him. He grabbed the Hulk's head and violently slammed it into the ground, using the green giant's body to plow a deep trench through the street as if the earth were made of tofu.

They shot into the sky, but the Hulk twisted midair and delivered a crushing punch to Sean's right shoulder, sending him flying. The golden figure blasted through three buildings before finally stabilizing himself midair.

After a brief pause to gather strength, Sean shot forward again. His blood burned like fire, fueling his boiling battle lust...

With astonishing jumping power, the Hulk grabbed the edge of a skyscraper's outer wall, shattering countless glass panels as his massive feet pushed off. He launched himself like a living projectile, meeting the Sentinel's fist head-on.

Below them, buildings collapsed in waves. Explosions rumbled continuously as the golden and green figures streaked through the air like deadly blades, turning the already ruined district into a wasteland.

Skyscrapers toppled like toy blocks, effortlessly torn apart. The aftershocks of their battle reduced reinforced concrete structures to rubble!

The Hulk's massive fist tore through the air, but Sean raised both hands to block. Another explosion erupted between them, like a detonating thunderclap. The shockwave pulverized bricks and debris into dust!

A dust-laden shockwave surged outward like a tidal wave.

Both the Sentinel and the Hulk crashed into a building behind them. The deafening roars of destruction echoed endlessly through the city like rolling thunder, accompanied by the collapse of entire structures as if mountains were crumbling.

The green beast leaped out from the raining debris, with Sean following close behind, stepping off a broken load-bearing wall to launch himself high into the air. He clenched both fists together and swung down like a hammer!

*Boom!*

The roaring Hulk plummeted like a sandbag. The golden figure streaked down like lightning, delivering a devastating spinning kick that sent the green giant crashing into a building. The structure collapsed as if struck by artillery, burying the Hulk's massive body beneath a waterfall of rubble.

Sean's fist, wreathed in golden flames, tore through the Hulk's resilient skin like a blade. Blood gushed from the wound!

Panting heavily, the Hulk rose from the wreckage, his chest and ribs stained crimson. His green pupils reflected the motionless golden figure before him. For the first time, he felt exhaustion.

Perhaps Bruce Banner's consciousness was reasserting itself, or perhaps the relentless battle had truly drained even the Hulk's endless rage...

The source of his strength was fading...

Meanwhile, Sean's shattered bones were healing at an unimaginable rate. His battle with the green beast had not left him unscathed... far from it...

Every clash sent tremendous recoil through his body, rattling his organs despite his energy field's protection. Without his incredible regeneration, his insides would have long since ruptured. ..

...

This ten-minute-long battle had stunned every witness...

The sheer destructive power, near-limitless stamina, and terrifying defenses that even modern weaponry couldn't breach... these were beyond human comprehension.

Far away in Washington D.C., inside S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Nick Fury's expression darkened further. A being this powerful was like a walking nuclear bomb... if it ever went out of control, the consequences would be unimaginable.

The bald Director lowered his eyelids. The Avengers Initiative was now an absolute necessity...

"Is the fight over?"

Just as that thought crossed everyone's minds, the Hulk charged once more, mustering the last of his strength. His green eyes burned with fury. The Hulk never admitted defeat!

Sean sidestepped, evading the rampaging giant. The green beast roared, twisting around to swing a massive fist, only for the Sentinel to catch it with both hands.

Unlike other heroes who struggled against the Hulk's raw power, Sean had fought opponents like the Abomination and the Juggernaut... he didn't fear sheer strength.

"Maybe it's time to calm down, Dr. Banner."

A punch carrying a sonic boom smashed forward.

*Bam!*

The Hulk's head snapped back as if struck by several tons of steel. In slow motion, that seemingly small fist tore through the air and crashed into the green giant's skull. Ripples of force spread through the air before...

*BOOM!*

...blood sprayed like a fountain!

Caught off guard, the Hulk was sent flying into a cluster of buildings. Rubble exploded outward as his massive body carved a visible path through the collapsing structures like a cannonball.

"The fight's over. Until next time, big guy." Sean exhaled heavily as the light rain fell on him.

He glanced at the flattened ruins of the city block before golden flames erupted beneath his feet. Like a bird taking flight, he vanished into the thick clouds in an instant...

Meanwhile, within the wreckage, the Hulk had reverted to a naked man. With his rage spent, Bruce Banner's consciousness took control once more.

"What… happened?" He looked up at the dark sky, where scattered raindrops fell.

The roaring voice in his mind faded, leaving only the faint image of a golden figure like a god descending from the heavens...
