Six Sealing Armguards had been taken and fastened onto the left arms of six Dementors.
The dashing Harry Potter could even sense the joy radiating from these six Dementors.
If the original Harry Potter was still led by his own soul, then this more dashing version of Harry was now sharing both body and soul with Voldemort.
The moment the sixth armguard was taken, a tremendous transformation began within the dashing Harry Potter.
Facing a life-or-death crisis, Harry Potter's soul completely merged with the fragment of Voldemort's soul.
The lightning-shaped scar on Harry's forehead emitted a blinding spiritual glow.
Breaking free from the Dementors' grip, the dashing Harry Potter waved his hand and cast a lightning-shaped Patronus Charm, sending every Dementor under the bridge flying.
Would Harry Potter act like this if his life were in danger? Absolutely.
Would Voldemort act this way in the same situation? Without a doubt.
So, who exactly had done this—Harry Potter or Voldemort? It was now impossible to tell.
All the Dementors outside vanished, the torrential rain in the sky ceased, and the world returned to its usual state.
However, beneath the bridge lay a number of Muggles and two wizards who had gotten others involved.
Soon, Aurors from the Ministry of Magic arrived.
The Ministry had a surveillance network covering all of Britain, intended to detect young wizards' magical activity at the first sign.
As underage wizards, their wands were all enchanted—this was one of the services Ollivander provided to the Ministry.
When an underage wizard used magic, it usually meant they were in danger. Support spells like the Knight Bus summoning charm, "Lumos Maxima," weren't monitored. Only offensive magic would alert the Ministry's Aurors.
The Patronus Charm was one such offensive spell. If it was used in a wizarding household, it could be dismissed as practice, since an adult would likely be present. But using such magic out in public? That was a different matter entirely.
The Ministry's Aurors descended from the sky, surrounding the entire bridge area.
"Someone help! Sirius is dying!"
The dashing Harry Potter shouted loudly.
Immediately, a few Aurors rushed over. Of course, they recognized Sirius Black—and they also recognized the strikingly handsome Harry Potter.
"Was it you who used the Patronus Charm?"
Mad-Eye Moody hobbled in with his staff. He was no longer teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts that year; Dumbledore was bringing in someone new to fill the post.
"Professor Moody! Dementors attacked us just now—and these Muggles too."
The dashing Harry Potter quickly explained everything that had happened.
"I see. Well, you might be in some trouble now, Harry."
Faced with that absurdly handsome face, Moody didn't know how to respond.
It was because Moody had been captured by Barty Crouch Jr. that the whole debacle with the Triwizard Cup turning into a Portkey had happened.
Now that Voldemort had fused with Harry's body—or perhaps they had merged with each other—it was a situation that couldn't be ignored.
Moody, a man committed to eradicating Death Eaters, didn't know how to deal with this.
"In trouble? You mean the Underage Wizardry Restrictions?"
The dashing Harry Potter frowned. Clearly, he had thought of that too.
In the wizarding world, there were many laws protecting young wizards—and just as many restricting them. Those who hadn't graduated from school could only keep their heads down when outside of home or school.
Of course, this also reduced the chances of them causing trouble—or of the Muggle world discovering the magical one.
"This time, you don't need to worry too much. After all, there's plenty of evidence here."
Moody gestured to the Muggles lying on the ground, who had nearly died from the Dementors' attacks.
Escorted by the Aurors—most of whom were members of the Order of the Phoenix—Harry and Sirius were brought back to the Black family's ancestral home.
Because of the Dementor attack, the Order of the Phoenix had begun to suspect Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge.
Regulus Black had already received word and was waiting at the old house to receive the injured.
"If no one has any other business, please stay for a while. We need to conduct a few tests, and I'll need some help."
Regulus Black stopped the Aurors who were about to leave, then turned to look at the handsome Harry Potter.
"Sorry, Harry. I've already informed Dumbledore. He'll be here soon."
Regulus Black left the handsome Harry Potter in the kitchen. The remaining Aurors stayed as well. Kreacher served food to everyone, but no one had any appetite.
"Regulus! You summoned this old man to your house in such a hurry—what on earth is going on?"
Dumbledore had just stepped out of the fireplace. After tidying himself up, he asked slowly.
In fact, before Dumbledore arrived, he had already heard the news from members of the Order of the Phoenix stationed in the Auror Department.
"The Soul Guardian Seal Sextet I created has been taken by the Dementors."
Regulus Black's expression was grim. This attack had clearly caught him off guard.
"Are you sure? Even I couldn't see through that seal of yours."
Dumbledore hadn't expected this news. Just knowing that Sirius Black and Harry Potter had been attacked was enough to worry him—and now something even more troubling had come to light.
"This seal targets only the soul and remains permanently hidden once applied. It exists somewhere between the physical and the spiritual realms. Dementors also exist in that in-between space. I never expected someone would figure out how to break the seal."
Regulus Black looked thoroughly displeased. His carefully crafted seal had been destroyed—an utter humiliation.
"Indeed. Only Dementors could meet all those conditions."
Dumbledore fell deep into thought. The only party that matched all those criteria was the Ministry of Magic. Since the Dementors were deployed by the Ministry, suspicion naturally fell on them—and that suspicion might very well be correct.
"What about Harry Potter? How is he?"
Dumbledore raised his head and asked Regulus. The state of Harry Potter's soul was now the most pressing concern.
"I left the boy in the kitchen. All the Aurors who brought them back are still here. His soul isn't in great shape."
Regulus Black, in matters like this, spoke nothing but the truth.
The moment Dumbledore examined him, he would see that the handsome Harry Potter had changed. Within his body now resided a soul formed from the fusion of two—something that could never be hidden from Dumbledore.
It was heartbreaking. Dumbledore had known that such a day would come for Harry Potter. He just hadn't expected it to be so soon.
By keeping all the escorting Aurors behind, Regulus Black had already indirectly confirmed the truth.
This was a brand new soul—a fusion of Harry Potter's and a fragment of Voldemort's.
"Let's go see the boy. How is Sirius doing?"
Dumbledore didn't refer to Harry Potter by name, instead calling him "the boy." In his eyes, Tom had once been just a boy too—Dumbledore had personally brought him to Hogwarts.
Tom Riddle and Harry Potter were the same. They were both just boys.
"Sirius had too much of his life force drained. I've already had a house-elf brew a restorative potion for him. Once he drinks it, he'll recover."
Regulus Black, despite often getting into physical fights with his older brother, still cared deeply for him. He never shortchanged that dumb mutt in the treatment he deserved.
Oh right—he also needed to call that dumb mutt's lover to come take care of him.
Regulus Black planned to write to Remus Lupin immediately and ask him to come over from the Shrieking Shack.
That guy, under Sirius's coaxing, had refused the job Regulus had arranged for him and chosen instead to live in seclusion in the Shrieking Shack.
Merlin knows what that dog and wolf get up to together on a daily basis. While Lupin was here this time, Regulus also intended to collect a sample of his blood.
Harry Potter's blood would need to be collected too. If he really had turned into Voldemort, he wouldn't live for more than a year.
