Claire exhaled shakily, nearly collapsing to the floor, but Lisa caught her just in time.
"Claire, don't worry. I'll hold a press conference right away and make everything about Bella Hart and me clear to the public. You're the most innocent person in all of this. I'm so sorry." Alvin spoke with deep remorse as he approached.
Claire shook her head and walked silently toward her office.
Alvin followed close behind, his face clouded with worry.
"Claire, I'm fine, but your arm hasn't healed yet. You should go back to the hospital," she urged, concerned about the deep wound that still hadn't closed.
"Claire, don't worry about me. I never imagined things would turn out like this. I don't care what others say, but I'm afraid it will weigh too heavily on your heart," Alvin said guiltily.
"Alvin, I'll be fine. I've endured every hardship over the years, and I'm not that fragile." Claire forced a small smile. "Go back to the hospital. I'd like some quiet. Later, I'll bring you a meal."
