"Daddy!"
At that moment, Linda finally spotted her father and squealed with delight, running toward him with outstretched arms.
"Linda." Seeing his daughter, Gilbert's stern face softened into a rare gentle smile as he bent down and scooped her up.
"Daddy, I missed you so much. Did you miss me too?" Linda asked sweetly, snuggling into his arms.
"Of course I missed you," Gilbert replied, planting a soft kiss on her forehead and gently ruffling her hair.
"I think about you every single day," Linda murmured contentedly, her small frame nestled against his chest.
"Emma," Gilbert's voice turned firm, "starting tomorrow, make sure Linda attends kindergarten regularly. No more shuttling back and forth. It's exhausting for her."
Tears welled in Emma Miler's eyes. "But I miss her... what am I supposed to do?"
