He glanced at her but said nothing, silently leading her to a door.
From his trouser pocket, he pulled out a key.
Bonnie had noticed this door earlier while inspecting the secret room, but it had been locked. Now, watching Dante insert the key and open it, her gaze followed automatically.
The next second, when she took in the interior, she froze completely.
After a few moments, she came back to her senses and looked at the expressionless man beside her, unable to help asking, "Are you really crazy?"
Dante let out a faint, almost amused sound, lifting his eyelids to glance at her sideways before taking her hand and leading her inside.
The room was nearly identical to the apartment bedroom Bonnie had during her study abroad, the arrangement of everything, from vases to wardrobes and sofas, matched perfectly, as if the old bedroom had been recreated down to the smallest detail.
Bonnie looked at Dante, speechless for a moment, her chest heavy with emotion.
