Bonnie froze. "…"
Derek continued, "You know, there aren't many men my age in this world who are still virgins. Don't you think?"
"…"
He sighed softly. "Honestly, it's embarrassing to admit."
Bonnie couldn't take it anymore. She turned and clamped her hand over his mouth. "Shut up already."
He's at it again!
Derek chuckled under her palm, the vibration of his laughter rumbling in his chest, warm breath brushing against her skin and tickling her hand.
Maybe it was because he'd just woken up, but the lazy, languid air around him was even stronger now. Even the way his gaze lingered on her with quiet focus was enough to stir her heart.
Bonnie looked at him for a moment before unconsciously withdrawing her hand.
Derek leaned closer until their foreheads touched. His voice was soft, indulgent, and unhurried. "I really like you, Bonnie…"
Her lashes trembled. Hearing those words that seemed to melt into her heart, she pressed her lips together gently.
