Chapter 577 - Chapter 577: Doflamingo’s Methods!

Chapter 577: Doflamingo's Methods!

Because right now, the whole world knew Morgans and Doflamingo were hunting Vegapunk.

If Doflamingo rushed straight to Alcatraz the moment he got the lead, Vegapunk would notice immediately.

At that point, it would be no different from walking in with a signboard hanging over his head.

"Let's report what's happening here to the captain first," Doflamingo said.

"Right now, the division captains are all out dealing with those annoying Aragami."

"It's very possible that Vegapunk will end up handled by us Logistics Division Captains."

He pressed his foot down on the nobleman's head, smiling smugly as he spoke, his tone full of ridicule.

"Mm."

"Let's head to Alcatraz first, check the situation, then move once everyone arrives."

"I've got a bad feeling. That guy isn't as weak as I assumed."

"The captain also said he was one of the original leaders of the Guardians."

"So…"

After a brief exchange, the two ended the call.

"Doflamingo! You got what you wanted, didn't you?" the nobleman shouted, his face twisted as Doflamingo's shoe ground him into the floor.

"I really don't know!"

"Let me go! I'll give you all my money!"

He had heard every word of the conversation.

They were looking for Vegapunk, and now they had a location.

So he should be safe now, right?

"No, no, no…"

"You're not leaving yet."

Doflamingo's smile widened, playful and ugly at the same time.

"Now that we know Vegapunk's whereabouts, we move on to the next question."

"What did you use those things you bought for?"

Doflamingo had been told to dig into this thoroughly.

Back when he acted as an underground broker, he never cared what buyers used their goods for.

He was a businessman, after all.

But now the situation was different, and so was his position.

"Don't push it too far!" the nobleman roared, forcing bravado into his voice.

"I just have some unusual hobbies!"

"What does that have to do with you?"

"Or did this mess already reach your Dragon Hunter Pirates?"

"After becoming their dogs, did you forget who you are?"

"Oh?" Doflamingo chuckled.

"So you still don't want to talk."

"I've already seen all the men in your basement."

"I examined their wounds, and I examined what that woman was missing."

Doflamingo leaned closer, his voice slowing, each word pressed out carefully.

"Want to know what I found?"

"The wounds are very fresh…"

The nobleman's face went pale.

Those injuries had been treated by professionals.

He had paid an absurd amount of money for that.

And yet Doflamingo saw through it like it was a child's disguise.

How?

"How far do you want to take this?" the nobleman asked, panic finally cracking his voice.

"I am the first noble of this country. Even the king was chosen by our noble council."

"If you do this, you'll only make the kingdoms of the world treat your Dragon Hunter Pirates as enemies!"

His earlier confidence was gone.

Now he only wanted to escape, as fast as possible.

Otherwise, with Doflamingo's nature, who knew what would happen next?

"I see," Doflamingo said, sounding almost bothered.

"That's annoying."

"Then you should… leave now."

He lifted his foot, set the man upright with almost gentle hands, and even patted his back as if sending off a guest.

"A at once…"

"I can leave now?" the nobleman stammered.

He could barely believe it.

Even the threats he'd just made sounded ridiculous to his own ears.

Could they scare Doflamingo, someone tied to the so called God Pirates?

That was an Emperor level crew.

A kingdom with a little power could not threaten people like that, no matter how loudly it screamed.

"Yes," Doflamingo said, smiling.

"Of course, if you'd like to stay and have a heart to heart talk with me…"

"I'd be delighted."

"No, no, no…"

The nobleman tried to say something.

The words reached his mouth and died there.

He turned and fled, stumbling away in a disgraceful panic.

After he ran, Rosinante stepped out.

He raised a hand, releasing his power.

"We're just letting him walk away?" Rosinante asked, frowning.

"Those antique techniques were originally your work."

"And we already investigated the one who did it. It was Dick, the one who defected during the battle."

"This is obviously bait meant to mislead us."

Rosinante looked at his older brother, confusion in his eyes.

Back then or now, he still could not tell what kind of man Doflamingo truly was.

Doflamingo answered lazily.

"He left."

"But he didn't leave completely."

After tossing out that single sentence, Doflamingo stretched out and lay down as if this was all entertainment.

Then he pulled out a Den Den Mushi and contacted Morgans.

Seeing his brother's attitude, Rosinante did not press further.

He simply maintained his ability.

Meanwhile, the nobleman who had fled in terror burst into his room.

Hands shaking, he grabbed his own Den Den Mushi.

"No… we need to report this to them immediately."

"If we don't, something terrible will happen!"

He dialed the number and waited anxiously.

"Hey."

A deep voice answered, heavy with irritation.

"What is it?"

"I told you, if it isn't important, don't contact me without permission."

"My lords!" the nobleman blurted out.

"Doflamingo came to our door."

"So I gave him the wrong information."

"Now they should be heading the opposite direction."

"I thought you should know."

"I see," the deep voice said, calm again.

"You did well."

"Contact the people in the other kingdoms. Coordinate your statements."

"Doflamingo isn't someone you fool easily."

"Yes, sir!" the nobleman said quickly.

"I'll contact the others right away."

He hung up and immediately began calling the other kingdoms.

He moved fast, passing the message along with impressive efficiency.

On the other end, the man who had answered waited a while, then contacted others as well.

"Alright, understood."

"So the message he sent was true."

"These Dragon Hunter Pirates don't seem that scary after all."

"The people below are all idiots."

"And Doflamingo…"

He let out a slow laugh.

"He really deserves the title Joker. Always has been."

After muttering to himself, he went to report up the chain.

Back to the nobleman.

"Very good," a voice said calmly.

"Your mission is complete."

Doflamingo and Rosinante appeared without warning.

The nobleman's eyes bulged.

"Doflamingo!"

"Just now, you…"

Snap.

Before he could finish, a thin silk thread tightened.

His neck broke cleanly.

His head rolled across the floor, stopping at an angle like a tossed prop.

"Big brother," Rosinante asked, already used to scenes like this.

"What do we do next?"

"Do we act according to the information we just pulled from him?"

Just now, when Doflamingo let the nobleman go, he had left controllable lines on his body.

They had not acted immediately for one reason only.

To let the nobleman send a fuller, cleaner report.

Now, the net had enough string.

It was time to draw it tight.
