Both Leonard and Nicole exchanged puzzled looks at the sound of the gunshots, and instead of taking cover as the lady and the men had done, and expected them to do, they dashed out of the office, towards the ward where their children were. Although there was Idris, and some of Leonard's men to keep them guard, Nicole and Leonard went to the ward anyway.
The hallway was awfully quiet and empty. Not a single person was in sight. Most of the wards had been shut close while the few wards which were open had no one in them. Leonard's men shared themselves so that while a few of them moved ahead of Leonard and Nicole, the others moved behind them. They all brandished their guns, ready to fire at the slightest sign of aggression.
