Chapter 93 - Deathmatch

"Azer Walker," said Xeno.

Azer was sitting on a rock as he stared at the sunset near the coast of Lukia. Xeno walked closer to approach him. Azer looked back as the voice of his name startled his moment of silence and peace.

"Oh, there is someone who still remembers me," said Azer softly.

"Haha, remember the deal you made with me back in Northguard?" asked Xeno.

"All too well…Will the kid also be revived?" asked Azer.

"Vladimir? Well no he isn't a part of this," replied Xeno.

"Good," replied Azer bluntly.

"And as per your wish, Narmin, Sylvie, Johan, and your sensei Kuruko will not be revived," continued Xeno.

"Ah, I am glad," said Azer, still blindly staring at the sunset.

"How much longer can you stay here Azer? I mean how long will you live?" asked Xeno.

"Negation innately negates aging in my body, since I awakened my sorcery at the age of eighteen my body is the same as it was back then so mostly unless I die it's forever," answered Azer.

"So why don't you go further to get greater powers from above?" asked Xeno pointing to the sky.

"It doesn't matter anymore," replied Azer.

"Huh?"

"After this 'game' you're doing I want peace, that's it, the name Azer Walker has no meaning anymore," said Azer.

In the present.

Chiro managed to instantly heal himself with Pisces Regeneration and stood back up. His wounds didn't heal fully though which puzzled Chiro.

"This guy's soul energy isn't the same as ours?" thought Chiro.

Azer pointed his fingers at Chiro and chanted a single word out of his mouth.

"Blank,"

A white beam of energy extended from his fingers went past the speed of sound to attack Chiro. This attack suddenly caught Chiro off guard due to the immense speed of the attack.

"Taurus Wall!" screamed Chiro as the wall started to project in front of him.

The wall shattered and the small gap gave Chiro enough time to dodge the attack. An explosion occurred where the beam landed with a massive dust cloud gushing wind towards Chiro's back.

Chiro, instead of retaliating with an attack, took his time to analyse Azer by using Virgo Analyst. As the information started to flood Chiro's brain a word suddenly screamed in his consciousness.

"Negate,"

Chiro's information stream instantly stopped as Azer appeared in front of him and charged his fist with soul energy and connected it to his stomach.

"Cancer Space," said Chiro, instantly teleporting behind Azer.

Chiro snapped and all the soul energy from their surroundings suddenly rushed to Chiro's right hand and he started to unleash a barrage of attacks on Azer. He punched Azer with the force of a giant truck. Azer went flying backwards as a slight curl appeared on his lips.

"Scorpius Sense," said Chiro.

Scorpius Sense is an ability of Chiro's Sorcery of the Constellations for the Zodiac:- Scorpius. It gives him a giant increase in his senses to the point where he can sense an attack coming at him from over ten kilometers away. It heightens all five of his basic senses and his Essence which is a fifth dimension being's sixth sense.

Chiro instantly felt Azer rushing towards him with immense speed as the shockwave left behind him was causing damage to their surroundings. Chiro felt like he should not be leaving Azer behind and charged up his own attack this time using 'Aries Wrath' to increase the output of soul energy and the damage he deals.

"Blank 2.0,"

This attack instantly connected with Chiro's face as Chiro's attack connected with Azer's jaw. Both of them went flying backwards colliding into multiple trees and creating craters on the ground with their landing.

As Azer stood up he saw Chiro instantly teleport to him but with a slight puzzlement, Chiro's body had no scars or wounds at all. Chiro charged up his attack and this time using 'Sagetterius Aim' there was no way he could miss. Chiro landed a perfect strike causing sparks from his hand to evolve due to the immense soul energy getting released which caused a few trees to catch on fire.

With smoke behind Chiro and Azer bleeding down, Chiro smirked.

As soon as Chiro got hit the first time, that was when Chiro secretly turned on 'Gemini Adaptability' which he disguised with his 'Essense' and with 'Scorpius Sense' running in the background it hid any sign of him using this technique. It was a gamble that he tried as the 'Virgo Analyst' he used previously was nothing more than a bait to see if Azer could read his moves.

Now Chiro was clear about two things. Azer has a soul that's negative in nature. All non-sorcerers have a balanced soul but sorcerers and other people who can utilise soul energy have a positive soul. Due to this negative soul his attacks are basically poison to the average sorcerer and is the perfect counter to every defense as it can just negate their defenses.

Every defense except Chiro Zanami's Taurus Wall of course.

The second thing he was clear about was Azer has a way to figure out what a sorcerer was doing in his mind which is why he was surprised that Azer did not catch onto his 'Gemini Adaptability' like he caught onto his 'Virgo Analyst'.

Now Chiro was curious about one last thing. If his soul is negative what on Earth would be his ability? Azer started to smirk as he met Chiro's eyes.

"Sorcery of Constellations:- Aries Wrath,"

Chiro's eyes widened in shock and genuine puzzlement.

Nicole managed to get up from the amount of rubble on top of her as she saw Takahashimi sitting on a rock in front of her after defeating a handful of sorcerers.

"Where are we?" asked Nicole.

Takahashimi threw Nicole her axe, bat, and a water bottle before starting to explain.

"We are in Northguard City, but it's way different than what we imagined," said Takahashimi.

"What do you mean? Where are the others?" asked Nicole looking around.

"Everyone got separated into different colonies, there are around ten colonies with roughly hundred sorcerers or more in each colony plus these filler avatars of Xeno that I just defeated," explained Takahashimi.

"Are we in some game?" questioned Nicole.

"Yes, basically we have to defeat other sorcerers and we gain souls, once we get fifty souls we can wish for one thing and it will be given to us. The space of each colony shrinks day by day and if we step outside of our designated colony we die," explained Takahashimi.

"How do you know this?" asked Nicole.

"This voice from the sky explained the rules while you were sleeping," laughed Takahashimi.

Takahashimi helped Nicole stand up and they both started to explore their colony. Colony 8.

In the Alkanium Soul Beast Cage,

A void embraced the space around Hiroshi and Danso. They both were chained and floating with their eyes closed. This was the inside of Xeno's new Alkanium Soul Beast Cage.

Slowly a crack started to form causing light to enter the void causing Hiroshi's eyes to slowly open and he squinted in the presence of light. He quickly looked around and started to scream but the chains muffled his mouth. Yet with the light the chains started to sear and retracted releasing Hiroshi as he ran towards Danso and caught him as the chains released him as well.

Danso slowly opened his eyes as the God of Sages descended into the cage.

"What are you doing here?" smirked Danso.

"It was such a pity to see you in this state so I freed you," laughed the God of Sages.

"Are you schizophrenic?" asked Hiroshi as he saw Danso talking to nothing.

"Can he see you?" asked Danso.

"Nope and I stayed over my designated time kid, enjoy where I sent you," said the God of Sages as he waved goodbye.

Danso waved back as the cage started to disappear and Hiroshi and Danso put their feet outside the exit of the cage. Once they were outside Danso instantly knew where they were. It was a beautiful island.

"My home…" said Danso.
