Chiro looked at Takahashimi's eyes that slowly started to go blank as Xeno played around with his ring a bit more. He did not switch his main body into Takahashimi since he just inserted his soul in him therefore there might be a chance that Takahashimi regains control for a second and in that second Chiro might land a fatal blow and he was more experienced with Suzumi's body anyway.
"You should really be more careful with the way you attack Chiro," said Xeno.
Xeno proceeded to recall all of his undead soldiers and soon the battlefield looked empty with only the stench of blood, bone, and gravel leaving any mark behind.
"Takahashimi?" asked Chiro, glancing at the figure of Takahashimi whose soul energy was slowly and slowly growing distant and unfamiliar to him.
"Once I keep a part of my soul in him, it's done. He cannot escape and he becomes my avatar. He truly had a soul though it took 10% of my soul to contain him," said Xeno.
Xeno currently had over a thousand avatars in Lukia itself with each avatar taking around 0.1 or 0.01% of his soul. Then Takahashimi took 10%, Suzumi took 43% and then he lost 5% of his soul due to the death of the Avatar on Earth. Then the rest of the soul was used for a special weapon that he would use in the worst of situations.
Xeno still held his chest in pain that felt like five molten iron rods were pummeling through him at once. It was extremely painful and using other avatars that he placed near the avatar that died he watched as a girl called 'Nicole' killed the avatar with relative ease.
Chiro, viewing Xeno who was in pain and discomfort, used this opportunity to land an attack. He used Sagittarius Aim to make sure his attack would land no matter what and he charged it up with 1st stage sorcery and the sparks of energy danced around his blade as he leaped through the battlefield and his sword connected with Xeno's left arm.
Suddenly Takahashimi grabbed Chiro and threw him causing him to lose his balance and made sure the attack was not fatal or a bad injury. It was only a deep cut that Xeno could easily heal.
Chiro while tumbling down to the ground quickly got up to see that Takahashimi took no brakes and instantly charged up another attack. Using his Virgo Analyst he managed to see how fatal the attack would be if he took the blow directly and went for Suzumi.
Unfortunately the attack would severely injure him. No matter how many abilities he has he still is a mere human with the durability of one, so he had to be smart with the way he used his soul energy, stamina, and body.
Chiro dodged the attack with relative ease and transformed again using Leo Transformation. He charged up an orange beam of soul energy and directed it towards Takahashimi who got hit by it but seemed relatively unfazed. Xeno was on the floor still clutching the cloth near his chest but he started to rise up.
"I have to kill Xeno but Takahashimi is not letting me…I don't want to hurt Takahashimi," thought Chiro as he was dancing through Takahashimi's attacks.
Xeno got up and unleashed a bolt of black lightning towards Chiro.
"I've heard of black soul energy before, never thought I would see it in person," thought Chiro.
Chiro dodged the attack but as he dodged it Takahashimi punched Chiro in the jaw causing him to lose a tooth and spit some blood out. Then with no time to think Xeno unleashed a barrage of flames that burnt him as Takahashimi again unleashed a beam of soul energy that was white that sent Chiro pummeling far away.
Then Xeno rushed towards Chiro and enhanced his fists with Elemental Magic of the Earth and started to punch Chiro repeatedly as Takahashimi charged up a powerful attack that enhanced his fist and attacked Chiro who was about to stand up and he got grabbed down and pummeled to the ground with cracks appearing on the floor.
Chiro swiftly untangled himself in the barrage of attacks and charged his fist with soul energy as he punched Takahashimi in the jaw and saw Xeno's lightning and dodged it.
He used this break after the attacks to fully heal himself using Pisces Regeneration and he felt like he just woke up from the best sleep ever in his life as he pushed his hair back as he looked at Xeno and Takahashimi.
Takahashimi swiftly moved towards Chiro and he grabbed Takahashimi and pushed him down with his soul energy aura and when Suzumi rushed towards him next he slapped away the attack that Suzumi summoned and charged all four of his arms before punching Suzumi for a ten seconds straight without stopping a single time. Takahashimi tried to attack from behind but Chiro turned around and hit Takahashimi away with a powerful and elegant kick with his right leg.
"What…How did you start beating us this easily," said Xeno coughing.
"The fact is…I already adapted to everything you will ever do in your life," said Chiro with a smirk and wiped the blood off his left cheek as his Leo Transformation wore off.
Meanwhile in Rein during the Night.
Tensei pressed the red button in his room as a noisy beep sound passed throughout the hospital and went to the hotel.
Natsuki rushed to Tensei's door instantly and saw him sitting upright with his eyes slowly blinking at her. She smiled and wiped some tears that came to her eyes before sounds of a little boy running were heard.
Haruki jumped and hugged Tensei on the bed and Tensei groaned in pain a little which caused Emily who entered the room last to pick him up using her telekinesis and throw him on the floor and that action made Tensei chuckle.
"How are you feeling?" said Natsuki coming closer to Tensei and holding his right wrist and checking all the medical technologies for any anomalies. She needed confirmation that Tensei finally healed. After checking Tensei's soul thoroughly with her ability she came to the conclusion that he was alright.
She looked at Emily and Haruki before nodding in happiness. They all started celebrating and the commotion caused Ozamu to walk into the room.
"What is going on here late at night?"
Ozamu glanced at Tensei before looking at the screen of the heartrate on the machine on the counter next to Tensei.
"He healed didn't he?" asked Ozamu with a smile.
He ran outside the door and came back after a minute and by then Haruki, Emily, and Natsuki were all informing him about what he missed and what happened while he was asleep.
Ozamu placed his hand gently on Tensei's shoulder and gave him the DMMS uniform made for him.
"This is the uniform that Haruki told me about, right?" asked Tensei.
"Yes. Think of it like a gift from me after you tried saving me and risked your life in the process," said Ozamu gracefully.
"I appreciate the gift but I've made up my mind," said Tensei.
"What happened?" asked Emily.
"I will leave Rein for sometime in search of my past," said Tensei.
"What do you mean? You did not fully heal, you have to stay here," fought back Nicole.
"Of course I will heal fully and then depart but I need this. I need to grow stronger," said Tensei.
Ozamu studied Tensei's blue eyes before nodding and smiling to himself.
"Understood, let the young man go on his adventure. But…" said Ozamu.
"What?" asked Tensei.
"Take Haruki with you," said Ozamu.
Haruki's ears pointed up at the sudden entrance of his ears. He placed his console down and asked Ozamu.
"Why me? I won't help Tensei," said Haruki.
"Of course you will. You have the most potential out of us all," assured Ozamu.
Haruki's self-esteem had a huge blow after the events in the Ninjaro Raid. Even though Danso's motivational speech helped him heal a little bit he still could not help feel like a failure. After all, he is only fourteen.
"Fine Haruki can come with me," said Tensei.
Haruki looked at Tensei who was looking at him with an elder-brother-like smile.
"I need to maintain my humanity and knowledge in this rapidly advancing generation don't I?" asked Tensei.
Emily laughed. She felt like ever since Danso's arrival to the Dark Mixed Military Squad, Tensei was more outgoing and was finally starting to speak more.
At the thought of Danso's name a figure of Danso holding red flowers appeared in her brain and she started turning bright red. Her typical stoic look contradicted the look she was making now and she did not understand the emotion that was swirling within her.
"Are you alright?" asked Natsuki.
"Of course never felt better," lied Emily.
"Then it is settled," said Ozamu.
