But just as that thought settled... a strange dizziness crept in.
Ian frowned, his vision blurring slightly. "What… is this…?"
Beside him, Robert swayed, his breathing growing uneven.
Even Wade staggered, clutching his head as if struggling to stay conscious before collapsing onto the ground.
Ian's expression changed instantly. "No… someone..."
Before he could finish, darkness swallowed his vision.
Both he and Robert fell heavily to the floor.
Silence followed.
Five minutes passed. Then... Wade slowly opened his eyes.
His expression was calm.
He stood up without a hint of weakness and walked over to Ian and Robert, crouching beside them.
He checked their pulses carefully, ensuring they were completely unconscious.
"Just in case…" he murmured softly.
With precise movements, he struck them again...hard enough to ensure they would not wake up anytime soon.
Only then did he turn toward the figure lying on the bed.
