Her breathing slowed slightly. 'I… might have accidentally mixed my blood into it.'
However, Ivy didn't immediately reveal her realization. Instead, she calmly looked at Jay.
"I need to discuss something with you in private."
Jay raised an eyebrow but nodded.
The two of them stepped outside the laboratory corridor, where the noise of the researchers became faint and distant.
Once they were alone, Ivy spoke quietly. "When the vial broke earlier… my blood fell into the antidote."
Jay frowned immediately. "Your blood?"
He looked at her carefully. "Why would that be valuable?"
Then he added cautiously, "And are you even sure about this theory?"
His expression grew serious.
"If your guess is correct, you might have to donate a lot of blood for future experiments."
Before Ivy could respond, another voice interrupted them. "There is a very high chance Ivy is correct."
Both Ivy and Jay turned around. Alice had just walked over.
She calmly adjusted her glasses before continuing.
