She leaned forward slightly. "And most importantly… how did you gain enough power to escape from me?"
Damien pressed his lips tightly together.
Seeing his stubborn silence, Ivy suddenly smiled again.
"That's fine if you don't want to say it."
Her tone was disturbingly calm. "I'm not in a hurry."
Her knuckles cracked softly as she flexed her fingers.
"After all… I was just getting warmed up earlier. In fact, my heart isn't fully satisfied yet."
The moment Damien heard that, his face turned pale. "No! No! I'll talk!"
His fear overcame his hesitation immediately.
He hurriedly continued. "When I saw you fighting mother and father… I got scared."
His voice trembled. "So I ran away."
Ivy nodded slowly, listening without interrupting.
Damien continued explaining.
